Our previous guard had started to pop out when we turned the disposer on. That made a big mess and was no fun at all. This new splash guard worked perfectly. It fits in the drain nice and firm, and does not simply pop out when the disposer is full and turned on. It also comes with a new stopper, which we didn't need, but we'll keep it just in case. Good product. Good price...

Item works well, however, mine lasted only 1 year before needing replaced. The previous one, from a different manufacturer lasted 5 years. In the beginning this one was very tight, a bit hard to push food down, but it soon loosened up. However, it continued to get so loose, now stuff flies out of the disposal when you run it. I expected it to last longer.

I had previously bought similar replacements from other brands and had been disappointed by their flimsy quality. This one is just the opposite! It works perfectly with a Waste King Legend model 1001. The rubber is thick enough, well built, and there is a good friction when inserting so it sits properly in place once inserted at its proper location. It may look just a tiny bit too wide when you start inserting it but this is on purpose! Once it is is at it's proper depth location it fits wonderfully. I am impressed with the high quality of the product for a reasonable price. I will definitely buy more when needed and highly recommend this product!
