Fantastic Product!
My dog has improved significantly since I’ve been giving one daily for the past month. She used to have a tough time jumping into my SUV and now has a much easier time. She’s a nine year old Burmese Mountain dog mix and started to have difficulty last summer with her joints as well as hotspots and itching. I took her to our vet and he suggested a few other products however until I found pure Wild Salmon Oil, nothing worked. I just ordered some more because I don’t want to run out. I love to see my girl out running in the dog park being able to keep up with the younger dogs. She hasn’t had any hotspots and no more itching either. I’m so thankful she’s not in any discomfort anymore. I highly recommend this product!

Dogs did not want to take these but peanut butter or "Pill Pockets" makes it easy to give
These are working well now that we found a dab of peanut butter works to camouflage the odor or we have also started using "Pill Pockets" also sold on Amazon. He is 7 lb Chihuahua mix and these are fairly large for him and boy could he fight us off. Now, if he sees us standing near the counter he comes running for his nightly "treat". We are very pleased with how this has helped with his skin and coat this allergy season. Addendum: After five months, Bandit's skin looks great and his coat is grew back. What it hasn't done is stop is constant scratching or squirming around on the carpet belly side down then belly side up to scratch himself where he can't reach. That along with his sneezing had us putting 2&2 together and realizing he has seasonal allergies the dry skin was a symptom rather than a cause of his scratching. After $140 at the vet, we finished a course of medicine and now have him on a homeopathic allergy supplement along with good old diphenhydramine. We just started the second of two different homeopathic allergy medications as the first ones he would not eat and they were way to big to force. Even peanut butter wouldn't work and pill pockets were too small. We are hoping this one does the trick as we hate to see him miserable. He still has hair though thanks to the salmon oil supplements! (Bandit is the brown & white chihuahua mix)

Not Like the Liquid
Ive been buying the liquid for years and cant find it anymore? these softgels are ridiculous...serving would be 6 to 8 pills a day for my dog? Ridiculous..I will have to switch to a different brand with the liquid being out of stock..

I thought these were chews, my labradoodle won't eat them!
UPDATE 9/25/17: Since purchasing the gel cap version of these I have since tried the pump kind and it is SO MUCH BETTER! However when I try to write a review for the pump kind it only allows me to edit my existing review for the gel caps (see below). After not having success with the gel caps, we have loved the pump! It is sooooo easy to add to his dry food, does not deter him from eating it and he has a beautiful thick coat! Sadly the dry skin and itchiness hasn't gone away which leads me to believe there is another underlying cause that we will continue to investigate, but this is a high quality product and I will continue to use it, paired with their probiotic powder! Original review of the gel caps: Here's the scoop. We have a 3 year old, 75 pound Labradoodle who seems to have pretty severe seasonal allergies. He has very dry, very itchy skin all the time and develops hot spots from scratching and chewing. We do everything we can for him to alleviate his symptoms and I wanted to try a fish oil to see if it would help his skin in addition to the other things we're doing. Unfortunately, getting him to take these pills is a PAIN! He will eat anything, and he will NOT eat these. He CERTAINLY won't eat them by themselves and if I put them in his food he will either eat around them or avoid his food altogether. That means I have to cut them open and squeeze them over his food (which he will then eat) but it's a huge pain and gets oil all over my hands and sometimes they squirt everywhere when they're cut open. For some reason I was under the impression when I bought these that they were chews and not gel caplets. If I'd paid closer attention I would've bought oil in a pump instead. I just saw all the great reviews and jumped right in! In terms of how well they actually work, I'm not sure yet. I haven't seen a noticeable difference yet (2 weeks in) but will finish the bottle before I update. I have noticed that my dog has had runny stools since starting him out. I recommend easing your dog into the recommended dosage instead of jumping right in. Also, my dog has had terrible breath since starting on these. Maybe that just comes with taking any fish oil but it's a bummer. Anyway, take my advice for what it's worth. If your dog is a picky eater or you don't like the idea of having to cut open and squirt oil over your dogs food getting it on your hands and everywhere or having to hide these pills in something else to make them take them, then skip these and buy a different kind that comes in liquid form! That's what I'll be doing next time! Hope this helps! And for the record I did NOT get these for free or at a discount. Paid full price!

... an entire bottle of this and his hair/skin looks like it’s more dry and itchy now than it was ...
My golden doodle has now finished an entire bottle of this and his hair/skin looks like it’s more dry and itchy now than it was before. Not impressed and will not be buying again. Update: PurePaw sent me a bottle of salmon oil after this review. I will update after using it. Thank you PurePaw

Great product
I have a cat with horrible skin allergies (excessive licking and scratching of fur, itchiness, bare patches, redness, etc.). I have tried many products to give him some relief. I decided to try Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil and his fur is now silky and shiny. His skin allergies have not fully resolved but are drastically improved on this fish oil and he loves the taste. My cat has refused to eat when I have purchased other brands of fish oil.

These tablets are so/so...
I am sorry I don't no the flavor of this as its for my dog. These tablets are so so to me. In hope she is getting some of it. These gel caps are too small to be able to punch a hole in them and depense over there food as soon as I punch a hole in it to squeeze on my dogs food I get most on my hand and little on her food. I have a small dog she is a chiwinnie I can not put this tablet in a pill popper as she will eat around the pill pooped and spit tablet out or I am after she will swallow and it goes down the wrong way. This is why I punch a hole in it and squeeze on her food.

Improved itchy, dry skin.
I have ordered this supplement for the second time. Our dog has a very short coat, and has problems with dry skin. I didn’t notice a huge difference until I tried a different brand supplement, which actually made his skin noticeably worse. Since we have switched back I haven’t seen him itching his sides so much, and the areas where he actually lost a little fur from itching have been growing back. I have also seen an improvement in his bowel movements, which is always a plus.
