Newport brass replacement cartridge for a 20 plus old fixture. Fixed it perfectly

NOTE: These cartridges are 16-spline, 2-5/8", with 3 sets of threads. The hot water cartridge turns counterclockwise to open, and the cold water cartridge turns clockwise to open. I ordered and replaced both the cold and hot water cartridges for my 15-year-old Newport Brass 3-piece faucet. The new cartridges were an exact replacement and installed easily. I was going to replace only the leaking hot water cartridge, but after changing it out I noticed that the new hot water cartridge was buttery smooth compared the older cold water cartridge. As such I also replaced the cold water cartridge and the whole thing operates like new again. Word of advice, use anti-seize lubricant on the top threads where the bell housing screws down. Years down the road you'll be glad you did. The included photo shows the new water cartridge on the left, and the old on the right.

Fixed the slow drip without any problems. Quality feeling Cartridge worked perfectly. Quickly delivered, easily installed. No need to call a plumber... you can do this project yourself.

It fit my Newport Brass faucet perfectly and worked perfectly. After 18 years the original cartridge dripped incessantly. So nice to know that a perfect replacement is available.

Didn't find many options available to replace my locked up cartridge for a victorian cross-style bathroom sink so I went with this one. The part wasn't exactly the same size as my original cartridge, but it worked. Happy to be able to use the sink again.

As I didn't know the manufacturer of my fancy bathroom faucets and my local plumbing supplier had never seen a ceramic cartridge like it before, he wished me good luck finding them. It took me a bit of digging but Amazon to the rescue. It's hard to be sure that you are getting what you need when shopping online sometimes, but with the description and measurements supplied with this listing, I ordered it. It took about a month to arrive and my faucet leaked every day. Once the cold valve arrived, I changed both hot and cold valves and both were a perfect fit. I'm happy.
