Wonderful, strong flavor
I use this salt in a culinary setting, i.e. not to free sprinkle on my food. It lends dishes like chili, soups, taco fillings, and even some potato salad recipes a smoky hint. Once in a while, if a good, fresh apple calls for it, I'll use a tiny bit of this to up the flavor of the wedges, but keep in mind, this IS salt. I am not in a place that I need to worry about sodium consumption, but I still maintain caution. Most people already take in too much in one day; however, if you like to flavor your recipes with specialty salts (like kala namak, for example) then this one has its place; strong, potent, top quality, great appearance.

My "Secret" Ingredient!
I love this salt SO MUCH! This is a super high quality salt with an amazing smoky aroma and taste. When I can't grill, this adds a subtle smokiness to my meals. It is FANTASTIC for dry brining my Thanksgiving turkey and I use it on everything from steak to chicken to even my chocolate chip cookies (shh!). This is a product I will always have on hand, now.

Magical Flavor!
Gives everything that special taste! I purchased this item 3 years ago and I am just getting to the bottom of the bag. I have put it on salmon, turkey breast - you name it. Just delish. It has gone up only two dollars since then, which nowadays is nothing. Don't hesitate to purchase it.

Smoke is a primal scent!
I absolutely love this applewood-smoked sea salt because it provides the smokiest salty taste to almost everything (salads, scrambled eggs, broiled salmon, etc.). I love its coarse grain (though occasionally my mouth thinks I have broken a tooth and I have to remember that I used this salt) and even opening the salt pig in which I store this, makes my mouth water. I will definitely keep this in my pantry going forward!

Applewood Smoked Sea Salt
I do use salt on occasion when making corn, rice or say poached eggs. I also sometimes add a little salt to some of the food I am eating. I came across this particular salt and it looked interesting. I must say that I like the fragrance of the salt (you can really smell the applewood smoked flavor). This salt does add a nice flavor to foods. But, there is one word of caution when using this salt; Don't use too much at one time or you will over power the food and taste nothing but salt. This is a nice salt to use, I like it, but remember to not use a whole lot.

Great Applewood Taste!
We use this salt for our uncured bacon and ham. This gives flavor back to the pork that is lost by not letting our meat processor/butcher cure it. Prior to finding this, we thought our bacon was ruined. It had no flavor due to it not being cured. Now, we sprinkle this on prior to cooking it and finish it off with a dash of maple sugar when its done. This gives the meat a great flavor without any the nitrates/nitrites that the processor uses when curing our meat.

If you want to change up your eggs or mashed potatoes, this is your sign... This stuff is so good! It's great on pork! It just enhances all your cooking! LOVE!
