Bought this to take the place of a 220vac pump that came with a bamboo water wheel fountain. Didn't want to invest a lot as I may wire up a step up transformer to allow me to use the supplied 220vac pump. The Tiger pump really puts out a flow. I set it at it's lowest setting and still had to throttle the output hose with a clamp to keep the water from splashing out of the fountain. If you need a pump for a small to medium ( 1-2 foot head ) fountain this is a excellent choice If I do install the original pump in the bamboo fountain, I will keep this one to be a replacement for the pump in our outside fountain which has about a 18 inch head

Might be useful for a small outdoor fountain with no living things swimming around in it. Indoors...I've been putting off writing this because I wanted to come up with a witty way to describe the rattle and buzz this thing makes, but the noise is suppressing my creativity. It was quiet when I first plugged it in yesterday, but now it's annoying from across the room.

This is small which is perfect for my application and the reason I bought it but they should understand that the people who are buying a mini pump do not need a very think electrical cord. I am no electrician but the electrical cord on this thing is the thickest I have even seen - much thicker (double/triple) than my aquarium canister filter, heater, air pump or anything else I have. This makes it harder to bend it and put in tight spaces.

Purchased for a relative, and it is quiet and works well. Would have been nice if the little tubing were included. However, we went to a brick and mortar store to buy that. Great price and quality, otherwise. I will probably purchase one for myself.

Great little unit! Compact, quiet and has an adjustable flow rate as well. I like the removable outlet nozzle and the included alternate narrower outlet nozzle as well, really nice touch. I'm using this pump for a desktop fountain, and my initial testing setup using a Pyrex mixing bowl would highlight any noise issues, of which I found none. The only time I really hear the pump is during the initial startup, but it's undetectable underneath the soothing sounds of trickling water afterward. Best hookup so far has been with vinyl tubing with an inner diameter of 1.5 inches.

Bought it for its compact size, plan to use it to clean my outdoor finish tank once a while. The pump died after 10 to 15 minutes of usage, after pumping one bucket of water. Wished I had use it sooner while it was still in the refund period. Worst product purchased from Amazon so far.

Works well for a small car drinking fountain. Price was right , just added a few thrift shop finds and have a great forthrightly for under $15

I bought this small pump for use in the bottom of a small hydroponics tray for growing lettuce. I decided to try it out to circulate water in a 5 gal bucket I was using for storing RO water and balancing PH before introducing it to the plants. I am impressed by the flow made by this little pump, it works well and would be perfect for those areas where you cannot fit a typical powerhead or circulation pump.
