Good for the job. Had to cut through Fiesta exhaust pipe to replace back box. The location of teh cut meant that my grinder could not reach. So purchased this and having read mixed reviews it did teh job perfectly. A nice clean cut taht took about 10 minutes. Would be much quicker if i was able to use it in not such an awkward place. Blades still look sharp and certainly good to another use.

Much cleaner and less dangerous than using an angle grinder underneath a vehicle, I did manage to distort the pipe I was cutting a little bit before I got the hang of using it

The cutter arrived seized solid. It needed a lot of lubricant and bending at each link just to get it to move and the wheels to turn. I managed to make a single cut, but not before most of the wheels become blunt. One of the wheels completely disintegrated and put a crease into the cutting point causing a leak on the new exhaust fitting. Poor quality, don't waste your time.

Work well but pin was missing from chain attached to handle

I bought this to do a resonator delete from a Golf R. It took me about 10 minutes maximum to cut through the exhaust pipe. Clean cut, easy to use. The key to getting the cut done is to rotate this at least 90 degrees as you move it backwards and forwards around the exhaust - this is what gives it a 360-degree cut. You also should squeeze the handles as tightly together as possible while rotating, this ensures the blades are biting into the metal. Imagine trying to open a can of beans with a can opener. You apply enough pressure to let the blades do their job, the same applies here. If you don't apply enough pressure, the blades aren't really cutting as efficiently as they could be. After cutting my exhaust in two, this device looks brand new. I've no idea how often it could be used before the blades are blunt, but for the price, it saved me going to an exhaust place and paying someone to do the job.

For the price I have no complaints here. Cut through a 3” exhaust 4 times and the blades still have decent life left in them. Used WD40 and took my time, don’t force them too much. I also cabled tied the handles together to make sure it stayed tight and in place but this was probably not necessary. Towards the end of the cuts it does get a bit tight and the blade is about as far down as it can go but it will eventually get it done.

It does the job, highly recommend!

Bought this to cut a rusty back box off of my mx5 and its been great. You need to make sure you grip quite tightly to make sure the individual blades are making good contact. It did slice through nicely, however after only using once the tool bent out of shape. Along with that one of the pins holding the blades broke inside the hook which holds them in place, meaning I couldn't dislodge the chain and have been left with a tool I can no longer use. Returned unfortunately

Compré este cortador de tubos de escape para cortar un tubo de escape, perdónenme por la redundancia pero quería dejar claro que compré un artículo destinado al uso que le iba a dar, y tan baja es la calidad del mismo que se ha roto en el primer uso. Ni siquiera era un tubo extraordinario. Tubo de acero normal y corriente de 50mm. De un vehículo ya antiguo además. Rodeó el tubo, ajustó la cadena a la altura más adecuada para cerrar la mano y lo osciló hacia ambos lados mientras presionó. De repente empieza a oirse un ruido de crujido y se notan como saltos así que pienso, vaya, ya lo tengo a punto. Que desilusión tras un rato sin resultados cuando examinó la herramienta y veo que está toda astillada. En resumen. Pésima calidad e inadecuada para su fin. Desaconsejo totalmente adquirir este cortador si tienes pensado usarlo.

Worked good, took a while, keep it oiled but it got the job done with a neat cut. I would say it would be disposable as the teeth wouldnt hold up for more than 2 or 3 uses but still saved me money
