The battery came pre-charged to 75% and could have lasted an hour without being plugged in as I fuddled around with my Latitude D630. It unfortunately doesn't sit perfectly snug in the battery slot and gets crooked if you try to grab chassis bottom near the battery, but considering the price, it's not a big deal. Thanks for getting my laptop to functiom again!

I have an old latitude laptop from the windows Vista era that was pretty much considered useless. Someone recommended we try installing cloudready to turn it into a Chromebook, and now my kids use it as an internet machine (it's great for Google docs and YouTube as well as light chrome-based gaming). Of course a machine that old had a battery dead as a doorknob, so they had to keep it plugged in 24/7. They were annoyed because the charging cable is actually quite short, so they were limited in where it could be used. When I saw how cheap this battery is, however, I decided why not splurge and make it into a portable machine again. They are SO happy now with it. If I had known how easy and inexpensive it would be to revive this old machine and make it useful again, I'd have done this a long time ago. Note, the battery life isn't amazing. But to be fair, I don't recall how long the original would last either.

Arrived quickly. Was a fairly easy installation though a third hand would have made it really easy. Battery was about 70% charged so I was gtg.

...so it must be a duck. I was not expecting the battery to match the color of my 12-year-old Dell but it's very close. As others have noted, the battery comes with a partial charge and is ready to go. Installing it took all of ten seconds and away we went. The battery went from the 63% on arrival to fully charged in less than two hours, and when the power cord is out the battery life estimated by the OS (Linux Mint 19.1) is something like 3-1/2 hours. That's about right for the vintage of the machine. If something goes south I'll be back to update this review, but after several days' use I'm pretty happy with it.

Purchased to give my older Dell D630 a bit more life. Aside from the decal for self-test button being missing, it was virtually a100% identical unit. It was at 65% charge, when received. Packaging was adequate. The included directions suggested running it down to 2% charge prior to a full recharge. It dropped rather quickly, giving me concerns about the lifespan. After a full recharge, I was able to get about four-ish hours of operation before needing to recharge again. With lithium ion batteries, it is always good practice to wait 20-30 minutes before connecting the charger. In the days since, I am seeing 4-5 hours of runtime, consistently. This unit will allegedly fit many similar Dell laptops, but I can only vouch for the D620 and the D630, as I own both. I do recommend the purchase .. the twenty bucks were well spent.

this was a replacement battery since the first delivery was never received, I have to thank Customer Svc for their quick turn around on replacing. This item fit perfectly and was partially charged; my laptop booted right up. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an economical replacement Dell battery.,

Worked fine at first. Within 2 months it is holding zero charge. Laptop dies the second you pull the plug on it now. I'll try a different brand.
