Milder on the tongue and yet more noticeable in the nose than anything else
I used to order this from a catalog back in early 90's. I've been looking for it elsewhere as the Lion pure Kona seemed too expensive, but after tasting this blend, I believe it's my long-lost Lion Kona coffee! It's only 10% Kona, but the delicate, nutty, very aromatic flavor is all there. As far as the flavor, I'm no Epicurean, I just know what I like. I like strongly flavored but non-bitter coffee with a little cream and stevia for non-caloric (and non-toxic) sweetner. Opened the bag -- smell was good. Into the cone and hot water in, smelled *heavenly*. Treated it and took first sip - ***amazing!*** It IS the long-remembered flavor that made a special Sunday treat for having made it through the work week. 25 years and it's as good as I remembered. All the other coffees I've tried over the years as "specials" didn't even come close. Pure Kona didn't do it, either. If you've never had this stuff, well, it's milder on the tongue and yet more noticeable in the nose than anything else including New Orleans Blend Community Coffee (w/ chicory) or pressed dark French Roast. It's a dark roast that is still transparent enough in the cup to see the spoon on the bottom until cream is added. No bitterness at all, and that indescribable "middle" of the taste that means Kona -- nothing else can even begin to compare for the flavor. Quick service & great price, too. I remember it was considered extragavent to pay $10 + shipping back in 1992, but I considered it worthwhile. Today's price is actually better, considering inflation (why do we even HAVE inflation?).

Absolutely a treat.
One of the best coffees available. Hard to explain how great this is. It has every bit the creamy sweet of macadamia with the soft slightly bitter flavors of a good Kona coffee. Great all around as a treat or a regular drip if you can afford the price.

The BEST of Kona coffee. I have had several Kona coffee's because I get it from my daughter who has lived in Hawaii 25 years.

A Taste of Heaven
I am so excited that I finally found this coffee! My family and I used to live in Hawaii and this takes me back there. The hints of Vanilla and Macadamia nut, AMAING! This is now a staple in our Household.

This coffee is okay but definitely not worth the price
MARCH 27, 2024 UPDATE: Rather than being disappointed with my purchase, I decided to experiment. After a few tries, I settled on a recipe of 2/3rds of my own light roasted plain coffee beans and 1/3rd of the Lion coffee beans. Once ground, this recipe yields a nice cup of coffee with a slight taste of vanilla and macadamia and a reduction in the overpowering taste of the Lion dark roasted beans. I read where some had thrown out the beans and that really is not necessary. Mix with a light roast coffee and enjoy the results. I upgraded the Lion beans to 4 stars because after all, fair is fair. I like vanilla coffee and have experimented with many brands. This brand, for my tastes, is not one of the best, particularly for the price. First, this is a dark roast coffee. I prefer medium to light roast. For my taste buds, the dark roast is stronger flavored coffee but it mutes the vanilla and nut tastes. I have no financial interests in either Amazon, the coffee company or Target. For my money, I will take Target's , Good and Gather brand, vanilla bean brulee over the Lion coffee any day, particularly for the money. Interesting to note is that the smell of the coffee in the bag of Lion is better, but the taste is not for me. We must accept that all taste buds are slightly different and we all taste things differently. I believe that those who give this coffee 5 stars truly mean what they say. If you are a coffee lover as I am, buy a bag of this and a bag of the Target brand and see which one you like better. And of course these coffees taste richer when you add some frothed coffee to the cup. Then go with what you like. Oh, I actually like coffee enough that I roast my own beans as I can get the roast level I want. But I am retired and have the time. I hope those reading this finds it helpful and once again, I have no conflicts of interest.

I really like the Lion product. First and foremost, once you open the package it is so aromatic. Such a lovely smell to wake up to on any morning. It comes with a mini clip, but it would be better if they have that wire strip, where you fold it down to keep the flavor locked in. It would be nice if Lion could make a bigger package thou. Highly recommend 👌 👍 this product.

確かにチョコレートマカダミアライオンでも秀逸ではあるが豆が湿っているのか私の全自動ドリップには滑らず引き残しがでるので使いにくい。しかし今のところこれ以上のコーヒー豆はないので仕方なく買っている。
