Rockford Fosgate TMS6RG Power 6.5" Full Range Fairing Speaker Replacements/Upgrade (Pair) for Harley-Davidson Road Glide – Black (1998-2013)

Ok, so I was skeptical going into this purchase. 300+ dollars for speakers that aren’t in the running for high wattage, magnets appear small. I’ve been running hertz 5.25 with arc Moto 125.2 amp. They were loud, but I finally blew the left speaker. I didn’t want to move backwards with a 300$ purchase. I dropped the rockford’s in this morning. Perfect fit and simple install. Worst part is always reinstalling the damn fairing. Let me tell you, these speakers are top notch. LOUD AF. Top quality sound. If you’re looking for bass, these aren’t the speakers for you. I never understood the need for bass on a scoot, can’t hear the sh1t going down the road. If you’re on the fence about these, don’t be. Buy with confidence. You’ll need an amp to push them, but nothing big. They don’t need much. I’m probably throwing 80 watts at each. My gain is about 70%. I only turn the volume up half way on my head unit. I would definitely recommend these to anyone not wanting to go crazy on a stereo install. Seller did well, packaged good. Rockford box was in mint shape when I opened the shipping box. Update April 3rd 2021 - 1 year in, and these are starting strong. Couple brothers bought these since, and they love em.. want to save money and have a respectable sound system- these are the way to go.

Super simple to install! Plenty loud even when at highway speeds (or above). Had an upgraded exhaust and could still hear it clear!

After looking at numerous reviews and reading all the negative reviews on these speakers, I figured something had to be wrong. Well, I think that those that had negative reviews were only using the head unit to push them. I have a 2012 Road Glide with a 400-watt Fosgate Amp pushing these, two tweeters and two 6x9s. I replaced two front Alpines with these Fosgates, and what a difference these made. There is no comparison. These little speakers are twice as loud as the Alpines that finally died. Use an amp and these speakers will have you smiling all day.

Speakers sound better than the stock but do not sound like $400 speakers. They’re lightweight so won’t risk coming loose from fairing. The fit and finish is superb

I was hesitant to buy these due to the price tag, but they are TOTALLY worth it. These are the best speakers I’ve ever owned. I have them running from a 400 watt amp, along with 2 rear 6.5” Kicker speakers as well. These Rockford Fosgates blow the Kickers out of the dang water! They’re so loud that I can’t even listen to them with the volume all the way up. And even when the volume is fully turned up, the sounds is extremely clear and crisp. I love these speakers and hope to change my rear speakers for some RF as well. Would definitely purchase again.

Speakers sound, look great. Price/value? A little high in my opinion. I only needed 1 speaker to for a direct replacement, I think RF is charging for the direct fit Harley replacement. A single speaker with no speaker cover would be an option to look into for the manufacturer so customers don’t have to buy the grill and mounting bracket when all they need is the speaker. Other than that, really great sounding speaker for it’s size. I’m driving but with a Rockford Fosgate PBR300XT amp.
