I used this to paint my pantry until I gave up because of the fumes and splotchy areas and painted the remaining walls using regular paint. Method: I first used Rust-Oleum White Ultra 2x primer cover and then this. It covers well and no need for more than one layer. I did hold it 6-8 inches away from the wall as per instructions but certain areas became splotchy-when I tried to spray over an uneven spot it just became darker. I thought I would only need 1 can for my pantry but I wound up using 3 full cans of this for only 1/3rd of my pantry area which is like a small walk-in closet. The seller said to spray in short spurts for good coverage but I didn't find that worked well for the wall so I just had to hold the button down and keep spraying; this is likely why I got good coverage from one layer. On the ceiling I got white streaks; likely due to ceiling unevenness but I did use the primer first so don't think that's supposed to happen. Setbacks: I didn't use a spray sock the first time and I wound up getting a turquoise face which took a long time to wash off especially the insides of the nose. I also got hair 'highlights' that weren't too bad- people asked if I had gotten pastel streaks at the salon. The next day I washed my hair and was almost disappointed that it did rinse out. When I continued painting a day later I used the spray sock but it still got into my nose. Spraying multiple colors on adjacent areas difficult because of the colored fumes getting onto the wrong area unless you wait a day or so until it's set and can wipe off any paint dust. Cons: I wound up using around 7 cans of spray paint for one fairly small pantry plus around 16oz of regular paint for the shelves and bottom walls. This particular can didn't clog but my two Rust-Oleum silver glitter spray cans got clogged nozzles after only one spray; I didn't have turpentine so I used rubbing alcohol to clean the nozzle which did not work. On the second pic you can see the dark splotchiness that occurred in a few places; the color looks darker than it is. Because I ran out I used a can of Rust-Oleum 284678 Stops Rust Protective Enamel Spray Paint, Light Turquoise for the wall areas under the top set of shelves; (the lighter side walls in the attached picture) the color is lighter and I liked it so I just wound up going for the full ombre look. I got tired of spraying and used Behr Marquee paint in Caicos Turquoise on the bottom walls; if you want the Seaglass color but prefer regular paint this one is very similar. Next I sprayed silver metallic paint onto the shelves which was also daunting (fumes transferring to the aqua areas) so after the second shelf I just wound up using leftover Valspar gray primer and metallic silver paint that I had left over from my kitchen walls an followed with some Rust-Oleum Silver Glitter. Tips: I would recommend this paint because of the lovely true turquoise color as well as matching with Rust-oleums Enamel Spray paint in Light Turquoise for a seamless ombre look and/or other metallic paints or glitter. I guess spray painting inside a Manhattan apartment is perhaps not the best idea in the world especially when you don't have much experience but if you are a more seasoned user you can probably get a better non-splotchy result than I did. I highly suggest some kind of face covering if you don’t want paint fumes coloring adjacent floor tile which is a hassle to get out of the grout. I was considering spray painting my cellular shades to freshen up the color but decided against it because of the risk for unevenness. Once I refilled the pantry it was so full you can't see too much of the walls anyway. On the plus side if you want temporary colored hair highlights this seems like the perfect product- just leave your hair down; spray around 10” away from you, stand in the fumes for maybe 30 seconds and voila! Non-Spray Paint in the same color: Behr Marquee in Caicos Turquoise MQ4-21, Benjamin Moore Cool Aqua 2056-40. BM Mexicali 664 is nice too about 2 shades lighter). Can be good to know if you want to match something not appropriate for spraying with a sprayed surface.

I love this Seaside shade for summer! It gives a nice Carribean, beachy vibe to your decor. I used on some really old decor that I was going to get rid of and they are all refreshed now for summee porch decor. I attached pictures of a glass candle holder, a metal lantern that was previously black, and on a very aged piece of barnwood. It covered well and I am planning to order more. Shake often when spraying larger pieces as spray paint cans can clog. I didn't shake enough and mine did clog since I was spraying for long periods of time and not shaking frequently.

The paint works out really well (I recommend purchasing the additional handle for the spray cans) and the handle makes spraying so much easier. The paint color is as pictured and looks great. I used the paint on a project guitar build to repaint the body. I sanded all the original paint off the body and prepped the wood, used primer, but the paint didn’t seem to cover some areas on the body even though I primered the body. A few more coats focused on the difficult areas worked fine. ** The problem, I purchased three cans of the same spray paint, one can had a broken nozzle even though the cap was intact and was leaking paint. I attempted to return the damaged can… Amazon doesn’t handle the return and it must be done through Rustoleum. After phone calls and emails to Rustoleum customer service (NO HELP WHATSOEVER), I never got a refund or exchange from Rustoleum, so I’m stuck paying for the damaged item. ***** Because of this I don’t recommend buying spray paint from Amazon or online for that matter. If I’d purchased the paint from a local store I could have inspected the cans myself (avoiding damaged cans) and/or returned/exchanged the paint cans.

Honestly this is my first time painting anything. I was so tired of my boring white door so I decided to paint it. This was a very easy and smooth process. I only used one can and still had plenty left. I went across the door 3 times allowing each layer to dry and going in different directions each time. I love it and will be painting the white border around my storage unit to match. I’m very pleased!!! I did this inside but made sure I had on a mask and the home was ventilated. The smell is quite strong so use proper protective gear.
