Good sharp saw for tough jobs
I used this yesterday for the first time on a half dead large pollard ash that is guess what dying back. Its quite a tough wood and this sharp saw did a pretty good job. I wish i had gone for a slightly longer reach saw for this task but they are twice the price and i would have got a lot less use out of it. So yes I am pleased that i was able to trial the saw on a tricky bob. I will be reaching for the chainsaw next week though for the larger limbs as there are limits to the diameter i can cut through without getting tired out. i.e. the limitation is me not this lovely saw.

Awesome tool. Was hesitant to purchase such a long saw, took it to trim and cut down some misquite trees in Mexico. The lond blade allow you to reach further into the tree for cutting, helpful when the branches are covered in thorns. Also helpful since you dont have to lean down to hook branches with the tip to pick them up without getting pricked. Wicked sharp, cut those small branches like butter and the big ones with a few stroked and minimal effort. Yeah its expensive, if you can somehow justify it its worth the price.

I got this mainly for trail maintenance for clearing fallen over logs, and it's amazing for that. Some of the negative reviews point out that it's brittle and breaks easily, and that's a valid point, but 99% of the time that's on the user. Anything can be broken. Sorry but you can't have it both ways: the reason it is so efficient at cutting is because it's thin with incredibly well engineered teeth and ergonomics. If you mess up yes, it will break. As long as you plan your cut and don't get it jammed / bent on the push stroke you should be fine. It will cut through something the size of my thigh in under a minute which is phenomenal. For anything under load you need to cut from the unloading side (or both sides with partial on the side under tension). The only negative for me, is that it doesn't come with a proper sheath and that the provided pouch doesn't have a belt hoop. I had a smaller one (same brand) that I managed to break a while back, so I am using it's plastic hard sheath to carry this one around for trail clearing. That was 100% on me being stupid and it broke after ~3 years of abuse. As far as quality of the product I would rate it 5/5. The handle, blade, folding and 2 cutting position settings are all great. If you plan every cut properly and respect the blade, it will serve you for years!
