Great product with great customer service!
This is a great product with great value for the money you spend! I have purchased 3 sets of these - 1 for outdoor use at my home, and 2 for indoor use where I work. The two sets that I use on a display at work have worked great since they arrived! I love the amount of control I have over the colors and the brightness, and the different presets in the app are cool! The one I have outside was working great too, but about a month ago, one of the lights stopped working properly. At first it wouldn't turn on at all, then it WOULD turn on, but it would slowly and dimly flash random colors. I went onto the app, found the support page, and described the issue I was having. Within a day their customer service replied back in the app, asked for a video of the issue, and requested my shipping info to send me a replacement. Within hours of me sending the info, they replied that they were shipping out a new one! Upon further inspection of the cords after removing it from my yard, it looks like an animal chewed through the cord attached to the malfunctioning light. When I get the replacement lights that they send I will make sure to conceal the cords better so no pests get to them.

Pro-Level Stage Lighting for Your Backyard
I originally bought the Govee Outdoor Flood Lights 2 for my house, but I ended up using them for stage lighting at an event, and they worked amazingly. The brightness and color control are genuinely impressive for a consumer-grade product. The Good: Stage-Quality Brightness: These are incredibly powerful! They provided a perfect, deep color wash for the stage that didn't look "washed out." Vibrant & Precise: The RGBIC technology is stunning. Being able to mix warm/cool whites with millions of colors meant I could get the perfect skin-tone-friendly light for performers. Built Like a Tank: With an IP66 rating, these feel very rugged. Excellent App Control: The Govee Home App makes it easy to sync to music or set custom scenes. Matter support is also a huge plus for smart home integration. The Bad: Individual Control Learning Curve: If I had one minor gripe, it’s that the app could make individual light control a little easier to access. It takes a few extra taps to isolate one specific light in a string, but once you get the hang of it, it works fine. The Verdict: Still five stars all the way! Whether you are using these for professional-looking stage washes or just to be the best-looking house on the block, these lights are a fantastic value. Super bright, very vibrant, and worth every penny.

Extremely Poor Waterproof Seal around Light Covers/Panels - Poor Quality Product
I own and love many Govee product (more on this below) but THESE FLOOD LIGHTS ARE THE ONLY GOVEE PRODUCT I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. Mine (all 6 lights) couldn't last one winter and were internally flooded with water come spring. Considering the price of these which is oddly high, they are very poorly made and designed, use very cheap materials, are not very bright, and ARE NOT WATERPROOF. These are not suitable or durable enough for outdoor use and may be an electrical danger. DO NOT PURCHASE as the light panels/covers are not well sealed or waterproof. I should state that I currently use many of govee products, from many indoor light bulbs, several types of outdoor lighting (string lights, ground light), smart plugs, a heater, a few humidifiers, water sensors, remotes, temperature and humidity sensors, floor, corner, and desk lamps, segmented wall lights, and more. Not everything from Govee is top-of-the line (lack of brightness and some cheap feeling/looking materials) but it's often on sale for a good price, very reliable (IoT-wise), easy to use and set-up with a great app. Unfortunately, water from melted snow easily found it's way behind the light panels/covers due to very poor waterproofing seal (or sealant). I purchased a 6 pack of these flood lights late last year and after 1 winter all 6 of the lights were flooded with water internally. The panels were still adhered but each had large open/exposed pockets which allowed melted snow to enter inside and behind all 6 lights. I literally took each out of the ground and tipped them upside down and drained a few fl ounces of water from each. Only 2 of the 6 lights still worked by spring time and had to throw out the entire set. I don't know if you could even consider these water-resistant but they certainly shouldn't have been listed as waterproof. This could have been very dangerous as they worked up until spring so I had them plugged in all winter and early spring until I realized they were no longer turning on at night (automated timer). I hope this issue has been resolved since I originally bought these but they are the product from Govee I've purchased that I found to be completely terrible quality-wise especially considering how expensive they were at the time. Obviously I couldn't return them back to Amazon, but frankly I could not be more disappointed with a product which was advertised as water and winter-proof. Very disappointed in Govee with this product.

Nice, Bright, Easy to Use
This is my second attempt for outdoor lighting for the front of the house. The first, a different product, failed within a couple weeks and wasn't as bright. The Govee floods, definately an improvement. Super bright, decent APP for controlling them (like all lighting apps, takes a bit of a learning curve to figure it all out... everyone is different), solid construction. Only issue had, wanted them to go on and off with the SUNSET/SUNRISE... that changes as the weeks progress. The only setting I could find was a "timer" feature where I had to set the hours/min... which again, changes throughout the year. I like, set it, and forget it!! The APP knows where the lights are located, so it should be able to get the changing times from the internet or calculate them... automatically. I was able, although, to link it to IFTTT and use THAT to control the sunrise/sunset turning on/off... and that is based off of a "looked up" time... which does exactly what we would like.

For the price it is hard to beat
The TLDR is for the price it is hard to beat, the software is janky and a few dumb design decisions really limit the product's potential. Update 1 month of use: One of the lights filled with water (see pictures). The whole light is glued together and the front translucent window that the light shines through leaked. I don't know if I broke the adhesive by squeezing the front face adjusting the light or if it was a factory defect but I had a spare from a second set. There are cheap lights so be careful handling them. The Good: - The price point is great for these units. The build quality seems decent and the light output quality is good. The Bad: The app is janky, here is why - The prebuilt scenes don't have an effects speed or effects fade setting. The majority of the scenes have abrupt color changes that are very distracting on the eyes. If you want to use this for ambient lighting in an outdoor space you are stuck making a custom "DIY" scene - If you want to set the lights to a predefined color with no effects there is a relative brightness slider that does not make sense as there are two sliders. A "brightness" slider and "relative brightness" slider - The color wheel selection does not let you enter a RGB value or a hex value. This would be a welcome addition - The app has an Govee advertisements all over the place which makes it feel "cheap" as very made in China The Stupid: - The lights and cable are weather proof but the power adapter and controller are not. I would rather they charge a few bucks more and the power adapter and controller be weatherproof. I had to buy an outdoor weatherproof box to put them in. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NLW5HMX - The lights are on waterproof connectors but no extension cables are sold by Groove and the connectors are not an easy standard to find to make your own. If you want to place a light further than the cord length well you are screwed. This is particularly frustrating as often the wall outlet does not line up in the beginning of the chain. It would be such an easy fix for Groove to sell an extension cable as an accessory. I cut the wire on a light and soldered in a 22AWG 4 conductor extension cable. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B945PQ34 There is a max signal length between the LEDs as they use a WS2811 chip serial driver before signal integrity issues become a problem so that may be why they do not sell extension cables. Either way extending the cable about 6 feet was not an issue for me. Other Data: - You can order a larger set with more lights than needed and disconnect lights you don't need at the end of the set. It works fine if you disconnect the lights starting at the end of the set only. If you disconnect the lights at the beginning of the set it does not work. Each light has a data signal in and out signal so you must only remove lights starting at the end of the chain. - The lights use WS2811 driver chips which is a standard driver chip for RGB LED strips and it was a good idea by Govee to use low cost "off the shelf" parts. They are using this driver for the warm and cool white LEDs as well so you wouldn't be able to easily drive these lights with a standard WS2811 controller if you wanted to as the Govve controller knows the location of each white LED in the chain to correctly command the color.

Not weather proof much!
I love the lights when they did work. After a little over a year I have dead paper weight. Both lights don’t work and they weren’t exposed much to water at all as they were staked next to the house where barely any water or snow hits. They just stopped turning on. When I unscrewed the connectors I noticed they were gunky, wet and burned inside. Yes I did screw them on tight as they can. Maybe I should’ve wrapped the connectors in an outlet outdoor cover or something but it’s supposed to all be weather proof. To the garbage they go.

Limited customization, not fully weatherproof.
On the plus side, the setup was easy and the app controls the lights effectively. However, these suffer from some major limitations. First is the hardware. They use a big power brick that isn't outdoor rated and has to be protected from water. The individual lights are also linked by a cable with proprietary plugs at fixed positions. This means a 6-pack of lights can't be split into two groups of 3 for example and that you can't physically link sets or reduce the number of lights in a set (unless you leave one of the plugs exposed) to fit your needs. Color rendition and transitions are also just plain bad. I tried to create a yellow-green color smoothly transitioning to pure green and ended up with a blotchy mix of yellow and orange with jumpy transitions to green. The app is also horrible. It's cluttered and not intuitive since it's a catch-all app for all of Govee's smart appliances rather than a lighting-dedicated app. While you can edit colors and brightness, you only have a handful of effects/transitions that can be applied and they can't be edited or mixed and matched within the app. The scheduling and Alexa integration also seem to be hit or miss. One set refused to ever follow the set schedule either through the app or Alexa, while another took multiple attempts before it finally started adhering to the schedule, and another worked fine on the first try. Overall, I was very disappointed with these and would have returned them except for the fact that these are the least-bad of the options I've find for this kind of lighting. While the hardware is what it is, I'm at least hopeful for improvements in the app. UPDATE: These lasted about 45 days, even with the power brick protected in waterproof outlet box. Two of the 4 outlets on the string now only provide power, but with no RGB signal, and one of the light modules no longer responds, even when connected to one of the good ports.

Perfect RGB Flood Lights for My Gaming & Streaming Setup!
I added the Govee outdoor RGB flood lights to my gaming and streaming setup, and they’ve been a fantastic choice! They feel solid and well-made, ready to handle long hours of use. Setting them up was quick and easy, with a straightforward installation process that didn’t require any extra tools or hassle. The colors are vibrant, with a great range that lets me switch up the vibe to fit any mood or theme I’m going for. I love that these lights are RGB, giving me nearly limitless options for customization. Plus, the sleek look of the lights blends seamlessly into my setup. Functionally, they’re top-notch, with responsive controls that allow for easy adjustments even in the middle of a stream. Whether I want a bright pop of color or a more subtle background glow, these lights deliver exactly what I need. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add durable, colorful, and user-friendly RGB lighting to their setup!
