Slick 50 41806015 Recharged High Mileage Automatic Transmission and Engine Treatment, 15-Ounce , black

I added Slick 50 oil treatment at my last oil change (2001 Suburban 1500, 217k miles), and the difference in performance was so good (immediately quieted noisy valve lifters, noticeably smoother idling/running), I'll now be adding it with every oil change. So when I decided to DIY a trans fluid change (with removal of bottom pan and change of internal filter), I figured I'd give their transmission product a try as well. This trans (GM 4L60E) has always been a very solid performer, but the shift from 1st to 2nd gear is a little on the hard side ... I've adjusted for it over the years by just backing off the gas a little as the engine reaches shift RPM for that gear. After I put this stuff in, the transition from 1st to 2nd got noticeably smoother, without me having to do my little "easing off the gas" trick. I wouldn't call it some kind of "miracle" ... just a good product that gives older engines/transmissions a little help ... well worth the minor cost it adds to your oil and trans fluid changes.

This is in my opinion a great product to extend the life of a motor. As it happens, I also use it as a lubricant in other items.

We purchased a 1985 Dodge Ram 150 half ton truck for our son to learn to drive. It has a fresh V8 engine, a 318, but the old automatic transmission. The transmission was slow and rough shifting, plus it was hard to pull the shift lever from park to drive. First gear was noisy. Cold weather made the problems even worse. Old fluid had been drained from the pan, but old fluid in the torque converter remained. The problems did not change. I remembered a mechanic at a transmission repair shop suggested this Slick 50 product to my Dad, so I thought I'd give it a try. This product works! We have driven 600 miles since adding the product, still as good as day 1. Shifts are smooth and fast. The gear shift lever moves into position far easier. First gear is much quieter. If you are looking for a transmission re-conditioner, I recommend this one highly! I think so much of this additive that I bought a second bottle to give to our son's high school friend whose transmission is having a similar problem.

I added Slick 50 Recharged to a 2004 Malibu Maxx with 180,000 miles. The transmission was beginning to "shudder" and I was told a rebuild was in my future. My friend said to try this first and after adding the entire contents to the transmission, it improved the shifting and ride immensely. My wife says she no longer feels the same shudder that was present before application. Momma is happy, therefore, I am happy!

Had an old Supra that wouldn’t reverse. Seldom driven. About two weeks after using the product, reverse began working again. Trans worked well until the head gasket blew and I sold it.

I could have walked to the sellers and walked back home quicker than they shipped it, more than likely have been cheaper too. I can't believe in this day and age something shipped would take so long.

Unfortunately I never got to use this in my car's gearbox, as it died before I could apply. I can say however that I've been using Slick 50 products for many years and the quality and results in achieving smooth engine and gearbox operation over a sustained period of time is really impressive.
