If you are installing this at the time of your landscaping it’s not too difficult. The ground must be removed on the landscaping side to roughly 4 1/2” to install the edging and spikes. Then back filled. I unfortunately had to replace some cheap edging that barely held itself up. So I had to push back the landscaping ‘stones’ in a 60’ section, peel back the weed barrier and remove the old junk and replace it with this quality edging. This works so much better, nice straight lines, holds the stone work-no problem. It also looks great. Super product!

The edging is great quality, thick but pliable, easy to work with, not like the junk at the big box stores that bends and kinks. The spikes are very heavy duty, we could have used a few more than what came with it, but we used large nails to supplement and that worked fine. We put the edging out in the sun for about 30 minutes prior to putting it down and that worked great, we could actually see it uncoiling itself as it heated up.

It is a good, quality product, but it it comes in a backwards coil. Meaning, if you were on an island, that is how it is coiled ... does that make sense? All of my landscaping needs a clockwise coil, but this is a counterclockwise coil. It would not be an issue without the lower lip designed to catch dirt and hold it in place. I think that we could have gone with the clockwise coil and been OK. Instead, we were fighting it, using a lot of additional spikes from Lowe's. I recommend it, but go with the coil!

I am making a backyard gravel pathway around my fire pit. This product is rugged, ridgid, yet easy to work with. 6 spikes per 20 foot section would be better than the 4. But galvanized nails at the hardware store complete the job. Beautiful product.

My soil was a bit tough to get into, but once I dug down 4 inches, the plastic went in easy and looks great! Takes a beating from the weed whacked and isn’t even scratched. I used it for 1-4 inch Delaware River rock landscape bed.

when you buy the store stock that is old and ridged with a smaller diameter top and try to install it and keep it down in the ground flat and smooth you probably rip the junk out in a year. No, this is landscaper grade soft large ring in the top thick and easy to spike. The spikes in the picture don't give it justice, they are hefty steel. I have one that used one entire role of this and I have one that was half the role, both radius's were easy to control and there are no flat folds. I think these probably will give me a good 5 years use.

After buying and installing this edging, I saw it at the big box store for 1/2 the price, different brand but identical product.

I ordered this product to match some existing edging in my yard. very easy to order on amazon as opposed to other sources. great product, same as what I had which was 20+ years old.
