This Stuff is Amazing. I had some joint pain from working long hours on concrete. A co-worker recommended I started taking glucosamine. Glucosamine comes from shellfish, so most of the stuff on the market is non-vegan, so being a vegan wow am I glad I found this. I started taking it and my joint pain went away instantly as this stuff builds cartilage in your joints which give you padding. Now I take it every other day out of practice and no pain ever. Great stuff an vegan friendly!

I got these because they do not contain shellfish products. They just contain glucosamine, not chondroitin, but I've read some professional medical literature (Prescriber's Letter) that stated glucosamine alone works just as well as the combo. I have hip arthritis, and by the time I started taking these, my damage was already done. My Doc says they don't undo existing damage, and I believe him. But even after getting both hips replaced, I still take these - I figure I have other joints and they work well, so let's keep them that way. These are also significantly less expensive than the glucosamine/chondroitin combos out there. Capsules are a little big - I make sure to take them with a full glass of water, one at a time.

I've been taking different brands of glucosamine for years now with some or little relief. The last brand I used didn't seem to do much at all, in fact it felt worse. I figured my hip pain had gotten beyond help. I had intense pain when I tried to sleep on my side (my preferred position). I was losing a lot of sleep because I was either in pain or felt awkward sleeping on my back. It sounds crazy, but I noticed a profound lessening of the pain within one day of taking these. I'm insanely happy to be getting a pain-free restful night's sleep again!

Just ok

First, I have to say that I have a shellfish allergy and so I have to look for vegan products. This is the only one that I have found and even at that I was a bit hesitant but I really needed to find something to help with my stiff and hurting joints. I have been on a cancer preventing estrogen inhibitor and the drug just makes me ache terribly with pain in all of my joints. So, a friend told me about glucosamine but the shellfish thing is a big problem. Well, I have been on this about a month or so and I can already tell a difference. I am having less discomfort in my joints and moving better. It is a slow improvement but any improvement to me is a plus. The good thing is that I have had no allergic reaction and no problems with my stomach since starting this supplement. I will continue with this product and hope to see continued slow improvement. I an very encouraged by this supplement and best of all, I do not have to worry about an allergen.

I was having a lot of painful joint problems but, after starting this, I honestly haven't had nearly the number of flare ups as before. What few flare ups I get don't last very long, thankfully.

Long ago, a friend recommended I try glucosamine for joint pain. When I tried it, it gave me excruciating joint pain - the opposite of what it was supposed to do. I never tried it again. I did not know at the time that it was derived from shellfish. After finding out that the glucosamine I took probably came from shellfish, a light bulb went on in my head. I have known since childhood that I am allergic to shellfish. If the glucosamine tends to collect in joints, and is carrying the shellfish allergen, then it would not be surprising if it caused (rather than relieved) severe joint pain. This product quickly relieved my joint pain to a large extent within days.

I’ve had to use a glucosamine product for several years because of knee pain and this product works as well as my usual brand except is so much less expensive. When I have no pain, my range of motion is back and I can climb stairs easily. I will continue to use this brand from now on.

I brought these for a friend in India, because I had used these Glucosamine Sulfate capsule in UK myself, and they are good. My friend had joint pain for a long time. She is much better now. Some people heat up garlic in sesame oil and use that for joint pain.
