It clings to the greasy parts and works well. It is a little difficult to get the last of it out of the can.

Get this stuff!!!
WOW!!! This stuff is amazing. I had noticed some "creaking" noises on my bike recently and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I figured I would take it into the bike shop and see if they could figure it out. I figured I would clean/degrease it first as it was pretty neglected. I used the WD-40 degreaser and was instantly amazed. Little chunks of grimy dirt were falling off; I almost didn't need to scrub it. I lightly used a brush on the cassette, jockey wheels, chain and chain rings, then rinsed them off with water. I couldn't believe it; The entire drive chain looked almost new again.

Use it on e-bike. Use it several times a month and it really doe clean the chain allowing me to keep chain clean and lubed. Excellent.
