Exact GE Replacement Part-Save Yourself $80
I was so happy to find this exact replacement part for when one of the LED lights went out in my GE refrigerator. the GE site wanted $80 for this part, but found it on Amazon for $10. Super easy install (5 minutes) for a fraction of the cost. Hoping it will last.

Perfect fit for my GE fridge
I needed a replacement the LED lamp for my GE GSS25GSHSS side-by-side freezer section. Couldn't believe it was no longer turning on after less than 2 years. I thought LED lights last a lot longer and I rent so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. On the GE parts website the part was over $80 and not in stock. So I checked Amazon with the part number I got on the GE website and several options came up. This one was only $9 and it works like charm. If this one lasts only 2 years it will be totally worth it. I just had to figure out where the one screw was that held the cover on. Once I got the cover off it was easy to figure out how to pull the old part off and replace the new part. So happy.

Didn’t match the part number on my failed LED
I searched the part number off my failed LED and this came up as the matching part. As you can see by the pic it is longer than my original part. I knew it was longer by the photo of the dimensions, but I ordered it anyway because I couldn’t find the shorter version, (like mine) anywhere on Amazon. I can’t knock the seller because they have the dimensions of the part posted. I took a chance and ordered it. It works fine except it won’t clip into the slot in my GE fridge’s climate zone fixture. My old LED measures 2-3/4” long. But at least I have light again in my fridge.

Great alternative to a more expensive GE part
The freezer light cover had one screw in the middle to remove. The LED light bar is plugged in on the left side of the light. You can use the new light board for a reference. It was easy to plug in and fit into the corresponding slot. Screw the light cover back on and it works. I did unplug the refrigerator before removing the freezer light cover out of caution. Great alternative to the expense GE parts at start around $80 for several sources!

LED’s Don’t Work Out of Packay
Replacement Light for my GE Freezer, first unit came in and only 2 of the 3 LED’s were working. Filed for a replacement unit because why pay full price for a brand new defective unit right? Got the replacement unit next day, except for the second unit none of the lights work. Completely Dead Unit. Plugged first unit back in because I hadn’t returned it yet and verified the wires in my freezer are obviously good because again 2 of the 3 light up. So back to back defective units unfortunately. The price is right, just keep buying them until you get one that works. Might have one good unit per every hundred units made. Gotta remember companies and people don’t take pride in their work or products.

Fits Perfectly - GE Side by Side
LED light went out in the GE (Model # GZS22IYNSHFS) side by side freezer under the ice maker after 2 years. This replacement fit perfectly and its been working ~ 3 months now.GE wants ~$100 for an OEM replacement part, which costs ~$2 to make. If the LED strip fails open you loose all of your lights in that section of the fridge, luckily mine failed shorted so it wasn't a big impact. The LED strip has ~19 v coming into it.For the DIYers like me, be VERY careful to secure the wires, if they fall into the structure of the fridge you'll never? get them back. Tape something to the wires or hold with a vice grips. Also, especially in the freezer, the plastic can be brittle, I didn't break anything but ensure you're gentle removing the covers etc.
