The brush works well, but it's much too big for combing my cats; perhaps it would be better suited for usage on dogs. I really like how easy it would be to remove the pet hair if I could use it on my cats. Still 5 stars for being well made.

I love this brush, really prevents shedding. However, my cat was slow to warm to it, I think because it is bigger and stiffer than his old brush. He is getting more comfortable. Brush cleaning function works really well.

My cat is pretty heavyset, and a month ago I noticed that a lot of his undercoat was getting pretty matted - most likely due to having poor posture, making him unable to groom himself properly, which created a feedback loop of more pain due to matted fur. He's always had pain around his hind legs/hips/base of his tail and I always assumed it was due to a tail injury he had before we took him in. While that may have been a factor, I did some reading and discovered that improper grooming can also cause pain for cats since their skin is so thin - even in short-haired cats! So I bought him this and we both absolutely love it. For me the brush is very ergonomic, feels nice to hold & the texture of the plastic is pleasing (not completely smooth/shiny, it's a bit matte which helps with grip and it does not feel cold when it's been sitting for a while). The little mechanism with which you clean hair off the brush is AMAZING. it works so well, and it's so easy a toddler could do it if they understood what they were doing. I would hate to use a brush without this feature. As for how my cat likes it - not only does he like the stimulation of brushing (it took him a bit to get used to, because he's generally a cat with stronger boundaries - not exactly a cuddle puddle all the time), but now sometimes he'll come up to me and ask for a brush just because it feels good. Most importantly, over the first few days/ a week of brushing, most of his problem matting was taken care of (I will reiterate that this was soft beginning matting in the undercoat - real hard mats might not be able to be serviced using just a brush). I saw an instant change in how comfortable he was letting me pet/brush his former pain areas. Before he would never let me scritch his butt or hind legs at all, and now he lets me brush all the way up the base of his tail sometimes (still the biggest pain point as per his prior injury, but we're making progress and most of the matting is gone!). Now it's a regular ritual when we both have free time - I'll brush his spine, back legs & hips, and any problem points and he loved it. The undercoat matting is mostly gone, his fur looks fluffier, his posture looks better, and he's able to cuddle with more freedom of movement than before! I would hate to imagine how he'd be feeling now if I hadn't bought this brush... One more thing: the tips on this brush (little round dots) are nice. Some other brushes don't have those - which is probably better for really getting at the harder mats, but these tips definitely make a more calming massage effect. IF your cat has harsher matting, you might benefit from purchasing a brush with that in mind. But don't be surprised if brushing is more of a chore in that case.. Brushing cat hair is very important for all cats, even shorthair breeds! At the very least if your cat doesn't need it for any specific reason, most cats will love the act of brushing and it can become a new play/relaxation item. Highly recommend everybody get a brush for their cat(s), and personally this one has been working very well for Huey & I. :)

Works great and the button makes clean up from the hair brush too easy! My cat loves the feel of the bristles.

I have a short hair cat who is very sleek. She sheds like crazy. She seems to enjoy the brush from a grooming aspect but it doesn’t catch her fur or prevent shedding.

This brush works so well at removing shedding fur. My cat seems to love it and stays in place as I brush away, removing loose fur that would otherwise pile up into a fur ball or get left behind on the carpet. My cat really loves the brush as she smells it and then seems to know that it will brush her in a relaxing and soothing kind of way, so she lets me brush. Usually she doesn’t stay put or let me brush her. This brush is nicely designed too as it feels sturdy and feel like it’s durable. It feels nice in my hand also. 100% worth the money!

Cats love it , works great while not hurting them if you go to hard

This is the 3rd brush I got my cat. The first 2 type of brush I bought was hated by them. One was they get tickled and the 2nd was too wide spaces so it can’t collect more hair. This one is the best so far, they do not mind me brushing them and it collects the hair so well. Plus the item looks so durable and highend, it actuallu resembles the petkit brush.
