All the components needed to replace existing cistern and connect to pan are included, in eco friendly packaging!! Easy to switch from left to right connection. Found it useful to have a flexible inlet pipe, as this helped with connecting the cistern to existing pipework. Both cisterns installed easily and working well.

As you might expect from Grohe, the build quality is good and tidy. Clean white plastic cistern casing and fitting brackets, inlet valve already assembled and fitted, so is the flush siphon and physical operating cable (not a pneumatic one). Includes L shaped flush pipe and fitting collar and seals, chrome finish Grohe round flush buttons (one quick or one long-flush - reducing water consumption) and bezel. Instructions are mainly diagrammatical and cover a couple of versions of the cistern. Having said that, it was a doddle to fit, easy to work out the bits needing trimming. Most of the challenges were down to our concealed cabinet and pipe routing into it rather than this product. Formulate a considered game plan and you'll be fine. In operation, the buttons correctly supply either a very short, water saving flush or an effective longer delivery only when required. Not a major problem, may be due to our high water pressure, but the short flush can end with a slight 'thump'. However, overall flush and refill noise is well contained behind the panelling and below the cloakroom worksurface.

This is the third toilet I've now installed in the house. The first 2 I went for cheap unbranded cisterns but this time decided to go for a quality make as the price was still reasonable. Oh so much better. Firstly the button feels so much more satisfying and easier to press and then the flush is much better. really sounds to be doing the business. ( possibly combined with a better toilet) rarely need more than one flush whereas others often need or 3 or even 4. Also out of the 2 cheap ones, one of them doesn't always flush without holding the button in. So motto is always buy quality. false economy not to.

Replaced a cistern, which came as part of a unit, from a well known bathroom store, which was leaking. This unit came completely assembled and all fittings were water-tight without the need for any adjustment. I used the original flush pipe to connect to the toilet bowl as it was cut to the correct length. The unit doesn't deliver a vast amount of water for the flush, but I don't think that is unusual, and if you hold the button, the flush clear the bowl. I think this is a well made unit, and I am happy to have spent a bit more to get a solution which I think will now last. I am just a DIYer, who can't find a trustworthy tradesman, so I'm learning about plumbing. If this unit fits your concealed cistern furniture, I suggest this is what you should buy.

The cistern itself is just what we needed but this unit was clearly someone else’s return as it had no bracket to fit it on. We couldn’t wait to return it so had to make something ourselves.
