Very good light weight and balance. Strong metal blades and excellent reach
I got this for working on the bramble patch. Most of my major clearing was already done with a hedge trimmer so this was got for cutting through thicker brambles and thick old nettle remains and bits of branch that the trimmer couldnt manageCOMFORTI like the weight of it, it is a very good compromnise (over our heavier machine) for someone with arthritic hands as the battery is not very heavy, the head is balanced well so you dont feel you are leaning back to counter the weight of it.You can move the middle handle down the shaft for better comfort and the whole shaft can be elongated with a push and a few clicks to allow a really handy long reach. This has various blades (no string capsule) and can be swapped out quite quickly.Im mostly using the circular blade. It is rather like having a small circular saw on a long handle.IN USEThis blade can manage fat brambles easily. If it cant get through in one or 2 touches, it can be redeployed on the other side but mostly it just cuts em off like butter. You can cut right down to the earth and if you have weed membrane and are careful, it can be used to cut just above it .I can cut brambles on the edge of the boundary where my neighbours fence is without fouling the fence. You can tilt the head by pressing a button and moving it to get a better angle.I was able to cut bramble fronds in areas I could not walk under, due to the long reach.BATTERYI love that it is battery powered. No having to keep draping a wire out of the way or have an extension down the garden (its very long)The batteries come with a small charger that plugs into the battery with a barrel connector. One lasts about 45 mins I think and that is with almost non stop operation.Obviously you can swap them and charge one while using the other. These batts dont match any others we have so I assume if you wanted spares you would need to go to the manufacturer to get them. This is an excellent small cutter with useful blades and batteries that last a reasonable length of time.IN BOXMine came with tools for fitting it together and to add the blade guard.2 metal circle blades, 2 metal straight blades, 2 metal curve edge blades and a collection of plastic blades. One pair of gloves.2 batteries and 1 dedicated charger. No eye goggles in my box.You may want ear protectors. It doesnt sound as loud as our big brush cutter but I was surprised how deaf i felt when my neighbour started talking to me over the fence and I immediatley went and got our ear protectors from the shed.

This Strimmer is a BEAST!
I'll be honest...I was VERY sceptical. The reviews were inconsistent which didn't fill me with much confidence and the theme seemed to be the blades weren't very good but nonetheless I pressed buy now and hoped for the best!!Well let me tell you, this almost childs toy looking, skinny little strimmer is an absolute BEAST!!We've recently taken on a 1300 square foot, 5 year abandoned allotment that was waist high (I'm 6ft) with weeds and brambles thick enough to conceal a long forgotten pygmy tribe!I didn't hold out much hope that the strimmer would get very far but it made absolute MINCEMEAT of the jungle, chewing through brambles thicker than The Rocks arm like a knife through butter!Blades are razor sharp, batteries charge quickly and last a good 45 minutes each, lightweight, quiet and easy to assemble although be careful with that....because the blades really are VERY sharp...ouch!!Absolutely superb value for money compared to alot of similar products, can't recommend highly enough!!

This is a beast of a machine.
I'm fed up with plastic wire and plastic blades breaking all the time. Saw this strimmer with metal blades and even cutting discs at a reasonable price and thought I'd give it a go. Absolutely brilliant and so glad I did.Metal blades are strong sharp knives and unbreakable (so far). Made short work of roadside brambles. Really lightweight and so easy to use. The metal cutting discs make very short work of lawn edging. Not slicing out the turf be beautifully edging in minutes where I would usually spend an hour faffing with plastic strimmer.Comes with two batteries plus safety goggles and gloves. You will never go back plastic after using this.Minor issue is the guard comes loose, but I super glued it in place.Cannot recommended this set highly enough.

Not really powerful enough.
It's light, easy to assemble and comes with a good selection of blades. 2 batteries very useful.Good for small to medium size domestic gardens. For maintenance and not for clearence or anything professional. But it's great for general gardening and maintenance. It's cheap. It didn't take too much to stop the blade so even though it comes with aggressive blades it's only for light maintenance of trees and shrubs. The reach is good though, helped me get to lateral growth at the top of the fruit trees. But it is a bit small, smaller than it looks in the picture. Remember. 25mm per inch. So 100mm/10cm is 4". 150mm is 6". So that's your cutting width. Too small in many respect. Same as when you're picking a lawnmower and cutting width. Size = Time. But for the money and for light use in small gardens it's good value. How long will it last, don't know. Only other thing, the metal guard would stay out of the way, every time I put it up fell down so I had to take it off, it needs a catch to hold it up.
