The Vascular expansion induced affect caused by the Kakapo add greatly to its overall effect!
Extremely effective at reducing the pain in my knee after 50 years of trying everything available and recommended by doctors, therapist, and fellow football players. After losing the complete knee cap on my left leg and a small portion of my outer hip bone I was followed by constant pain as I got older trying to keep up with teenage children of ours. Icy Hot was great in the 70-80's, then I had another surgery in the 80's that really helped. In the late 1990's from bailing hay on our cattle ranch the knee gave up and had to be replaced. During Covid 19 the femur prosthetic came loose and was moving around chewing up the tissue around it. Pain became worse and finally in 2025 I couldn't get relief and found this Raging Kakapo on Amazon. The 7 four+ ounces of Aspercreme Lidocaine a month had been enough along with a base layer of Blue Stop Max three times a day. This is my 2nd jar of Kakapo and it is extremely effective and only requires an application in the morning before I install my braces. I use the Aspercreme 4% Lidocaine around supper time and again before bed time for good rest. Will continue getting the Kakapo until well after my next complete knee redo rebuild in late December of 2025. It is probable I will continue using the Kakapo and Aspercreme 4% Lidocaine until the internal damage and scar tissue completely heal and my therapist feels I should. Awesome satisfaction from my personal experience!

I've tried them all--add this one to the rotation
I have osteoarthritis and take a prescription NSAID. In addition, I have needed additional pain relief for my knees while I await my total knee replacements. I have tried them all: Biofreeze, Rock Sauce, Diclofenac Gel (Aspercreme and Amazon generic), CBD/THC lotion. All seem to provide an immediate relief from the pain, although with Biofreeze it seems to be more the menthol masking the pain. As soon as that cool mint feeling disappears, the pain returns. But this is about Raging Kakapo Pain Relief Cream. The cream has a dominant smell of eucalyptus. Not too bad, kind of earthy. I really don't mind it as it is less "medical" smelling than diclofenac gel. The pain relief is immediate and thorough, meaning it penetrates the skin's surface and provides relief for the muscles below the surface as well. I don't get the sense that it's all about the menthol--or perhaps eucalyptus in this case, meaning the relief lasts longer than the smell. The consistency is somewhat goopy, less runny than a gel or lotion, but if you set the jar on its side, the cream will migrate in that direction. So you don't really scoop out the cream as much as you dip your fingers in it. It would be great as a roll-on! The cream is easy to apply and absorbs (dries) quicker than the other lotions or gels I have tried which is nice in the middle of the night when you need the pain relief, but you don't want to have sheets covered in Kakapo Cream. It is a top level addition to my pain arsenal. I still love Rock Sauce as I use kinesiology tape and I can roll that on top of the tape. I could see this replacing the diclofenac gel for the pleasant smell and quick drying properties. The cost is similar to the other products although Biofreeze might be cheaper, but I also consider that the least effective of them all.

Like Australian Dream but better price and added ingredients
I'm on my third jar of this. I started with Australian Dream then switched to this product for a better price. It has same made ingredient and added ingredients that I think also help my aching hands. I use this nightly on my hands before bed and put compression gloves over. I've tried several different products and this works as good as anything for helping my hands feel good in the morning. Don't rub your eyes because there is cap sasin in it which will burn like crazy. This product doesn't irritate my skin like several others did.

I Think This Really Works
I checked and the ingredients are the same, and at a slightly higher concentration than other competitors. So far so good. No greasy feeling after applying. No funny odors.

NOVEL NAME BUT NO HELP
i'm constantly looking for, purchasing, trying and using ointments, creams, gels and any preparation i can find that will help me with tendon, joint, ligament and muscle pain caused by many years of just plain, hard, physical work and punishment on my body. i'm a 60 year old man and no snowflake; nor am i new to the use of pain relieving preparations or over the counter pain meds...with that said, my first jar of this concoction will be my last and here is why: 1. not a way overpowering smell, but certainly repulsive to me. 2. too runny. a few times i've opened the jar without thinking of having the jar exactly level and boom, cream mess all over my bed. 3. too much capsaicin (an active component of chili peppers) for me, burns my skin and when i start to sweat while working, causes more burning...and, make sure you don't put your hands anywhere near your eyes or privates until you've scrubbed the hide off your hands or you will regret it. 4. price per ounce is pretty high compared to other preparations that are more user friendly and work way better for me. Better than Australian Dream
If you like Australian Dream, you will love Raging Kakapo! Over twice the pain relieving medicine (Histamine Dihydrochloride - 0.075% vs 0.025%) and at a much better price. Be sure to get the “odor free” version.

Pain relief
Worked good on pain but I did not like the capsaicin in the cream. If you don't wash your hands throughly after using DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE OR NEAR YOUR EYES
