Does this sanitizer leave a residue or does it evaporate completely after a few moments?

It evaporates after a few moments. No residue at all.

We can not get the top to pop up and therefore can not dispense the product. Has anyone else had this problem or do we have defective bottles?

Good morning! Please contact us at the number on the rear label and we can walk you through engaging the pump. Basically, tighten the collar on the bottle, then hold the collar and tighten the pump. Last hold the collar and turn the pump counterclockwise and it should pop up.
