I like to be outside but do not like having to slather myself with sunscreen every 2-3 hours. Sunscreen is good and should be applied regularly but I don't like how it feels on my skin and how it gets on everything. I'm what the Scots call "peely-wally" and burn easily so I need to protect my skin. I noticed that a lot of boaters and anglers wear shirts like this, so I decided to try one. I prefer the feel of cotton, but I like how this shirt wicks moisture and how quickly it dries. It is soft and light and the light-colored versions feel cooler in the hot Texas Summer weather. If I wear this shirt along with a wide brimmed hat and a scarf to cover my neck, I can be out in the sun all day and only need to apply sunscreen to the backs of my hands. When I'm out camping it is easy to wash this shirt in a sink or bucket and it dries in minutes. I've purchased a couple more so I always have one hand.
