From the Publisher Review: Good short book - Great book, it has a slightly dark ending but a great lesson overall! Review: Good story, I liked it. But - I didn’t like this book per se. There were grammatical errors.

A Lovely read!
A gripping account of finding a treasure, the hardships involved in protecting it and the ultimate price paid in safe keeping it, only to realise that there are finer things in life that are more valuable than pearls. The story is set in La Paz. The author draws beautifully the character of the avaricious doctor, the swindling pearl merchants, the beggars and the friends of Kino. The struggle to keep his dream alive and to see it finally unaccomplished kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
