Excellent product, great price and delivers exactly as expected. Good size and quite portable to take with you, These are very bright and the zoom feature is great. Lumen-wise I cannot validate the manufacturer claims, but I can tell these flashlights will be OK for whatever I need them to. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best buys I have gotten at this price. The flashlight's casing is portable yet very tough, truly made for self-defense. The brightness is enough to lit up a dark room and provide enough reflected light for most activities. Zoom feature allows me to see far ahead. Truly amazing. Very suitable for camping and trekking trips. Do keep them away from children though as they are really very very bright.

I bought these flashlights out of curiosity, because I have never owned a flashlight that could use lithium-ion batteries before. What particularly intrigued me was the inclusion of the adapter that allows the flashlight to work with three regular AAA batteries as well. I bought the 18650 batteries along with the Nitecore charger so I would have something to use with the flashlights. The 18650 batteries came, as near as I could tell, fully charged, but I put them in the charger for a while anyway. I have both flashlights loaded up, one with a single 18650 battery, the other with the adapter and three AAA batteries. The flashlight with the 18650 battery, the lithium ion, is a bit brighter than the one using AAA batteries, but not by much. This suggests that this flashlight could be used comfortably without ever worrying about lithium ion batteries and that separate charger. The flashlights have a switch at the end opposite the bulb. A deep press turns the light on or off. A lighter press, a half-press so to speak, toggles through five modes. It starts out at maximum brightness. There are two lower levels of brightness, a strobe, and an SOS beacon. I don't know morse code but knowing what the light was supposed to be doing I could plainly see the "S", three shorts, the "O", three longs, and the final "S", again three shorts. Neat. I had a little trouble figuring out how hard to press to toggle the modes. It's easy to press too hard-- and turn the flashlight off. The flashlight has a focus mechanism. By sliding the front part of the flashlight back and forth the beam widens or narrows. At the narrowest the beam tightens to a bright not quite square shape. At its widest the beam fills a sharply draw circle, solid enough even if it is less bright. I haven't had the lights long enough to know whether the lithium-ion batteries will live longer than the triple-As. Or vice versa. And I don't know yet how sturdy that two level switch will be. Will it hold up? These aren't cheapo flashlights from the dollar store, and they certainly feel sturdy enough, so I hope for the best.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and brightness of the flashlights when I first got it. Didn't expect to get such good buy at this price. I like the fact that both AAA and 18650 battery holders are included though the purchase does not include batteries. Still at this price, no complaints. Very satisfied with my purchase.

ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT. So Very Bright... easy to turn on and off, easy to change the batteries, and easy to charge the focus from wide to narrow. The GenMax is quite well made, and feels good in your hand. I have allowed repairmen to use, when there regular flash light wasn't bright enough, and they have all asked, where I bought this super bright light, so they could get one for themselves. Will probably buy more as gifts to others.

One of the flashlights doesn't work. The one that does work is awesome. The adjustable beam is handy, and the brightness is amazing.

yowza! They are not kidding this little things are BRIGHT. they light up a room. They are very easy to focus and adjust,, have a substantial feel in the hand that honestly surprised me. At the price I thought they would lack substance but they are really very nice. The zoom motion is smooth, and for being a single bulb that LED really packs a whallop. On a side note the little plastic hard shell case they come is is really a nice touch, it has 4 clasps not just two and seems pretty rugged. These were a gift for my brother and sister in law who have a dark grey cat that escapes the house regularly at 3am and I though mini spot lights might help, but I'm getting my BF and I each a second set for the tent and our packs for camping this summer ( because when can you have too many flashlights, especially when they are so good and so affordable?

First, I only received one flashlight in the box and there is no way to rectify the situation in Amazon'a system. Second, while I love the flashlight, there are several on the market priced less that have higher lumens. The more competition the more prices drop!
