I bought the older model to these, from a clearance rack in a store last year. They were godlike! For a good nine months they withstood my brother's heavy handed use. (seriously, he is like a bull in a china shop with electronics.) Finally they have given out, and so I began my search for more of them. The recording quality for this year newer model GE has made is nearly on par with the old model, which was good enough to make people joke that I was in a radio studio when I spoke to them through Skype and such. I am sure you can get a pair of hundred dollar ones that are better in some regards, but the sound on these is good, with deep realistic bass. What I especially love about these is the fact that the cord ends in not two separate 3.5mm jack ends, but one combined signal plug. This means they work for my cell phone, and can replace the thirty dollar, one eared piece of carp that the cell phone store provided me with. Don't worry, they come with an adapter that allows you to separate the signal for your PC's mic and headphone ports. (Also has an adapter to bring the single plug down to 2.5mm, for those with smaller plug type cell phones.) Needless to say, I am ordering another five of these headsets, to be given out as presents to friends and family. I am glad to be doing my part to end brain tumors caused by direct cell phone to ear use.

I bought this wired headset because I need one to connect to my Iphone for the work shifts that I am on call. I don't like having to use speakerphone or trying to hold phone up to my ear while I search within the computer. This works well for the purpose. The sound is clear. The person on the other end hears me well. I do have to keep the volume down a little or it is too loud for the person listening to me...unless maybe I just talk too loud. The headset itself seems kinds cheap plastic but it fits fine and it does the job. So i did not see any point in spending a lot of money on a fancy one. The boom microphone on it moves so you can adjust it closer or farther distance from your mouth. There is no discomfort when wearing it. I have a fancy one at work, but this one works just as well. It is wired and not wireless which is what I wanted so that I have no dropped signals or interference.

I am not sure what some of the other reviewers expect for a sub-ten dollar headset, but this thing is fantastic. It is very light, the sound is excellent, the mic works perfectly (according to a dozen of my co-workers whom I asked directly about sound quality), and it plugs directly into my cell phone without an adapter (although it comes with adapters for my PC, which is nice for skype calls). I work from home, and I am on the phone at least 4 hours per day. The headset sits next to my mouse on my desk and I put it on my head before each call and take it off after each call, so 3-6 times a day I am putting it on and taking it off. It is fairly rugged, so long as you are not sitting on it or cramming it into a computer bag, which I imagine would eventually do it some harm.

I've used these for years, though as other reviewers have reported, they may or may not work. My last one (the third one I've had) was very good for a few years then worked only intermittently, and finally I had to replace it. The latest one worked okay for one or two calls, then the sound started cutting out in the middle of calls- touching the main wire AND the adapter I use with my cordless phone showed that both wires were faulty. I just requested a return, and a refund is being processed. I'll be looking for a more reliable headset.

I originally got this headset from Wal-Mart for about 7 dollars. The first problem was the packaging. It's impossible to get this stupid package open. You can't cut it open, so you have to take a knife to slice the back out. If you're not super careful, you could easily slice the wire that's hidden behind the paper inside the packaging. But once I got it out of the packaging, I really liked the headset. I am hard of hearing, so I really like having 2 earpieces. It never gives me a headache like heavier headsets do. The mic worked great, and I didn't have any complaints from the person I was talking to. It was comfortable enough to wear for several hours at a time. I really like all the different plugs that comes with it, so you can use it on the phone, or computer. And having the volume and mute right there at your fingertips is very nice. The sound wasn't great... when I plug it into my computer, I have to turn the volume up as loud as they will go to even get quiet sound. But you get what you pay for, right? I mean, for 7 dollars, I wouldn't expect it to have brilliant sound quality. UPDATE #1) Unfortunately, after a couple of months, the mic on the headset no longer worked, so I bought a new one off Amazon for about 20 dollars. It worked great... for exactly one long phone call. Now all I hear is static. UPDATE #2) Ok. I went looking for other headsets. They all either gave me a headache, couldn't be used with my phone, or only had one ear piece. So I bit the bullet, went back to Wal-Mart, and got another one of these. It works great so far. But it is a cheap product, so I'm not expecting it to last for years.

Los uso para Zoom, buen sonido y el microfono se escucha sin interferencias.Lucen sencillos y un poco fragiles sin embargo con los cuidados basicos me han durado sin problemas. Me costo un poco de trabajo ajustar el bracito del microfono pues se pegaba mucho a la boca pero todo lo demas muy bien. Bueno en relacion calidad y precio.

Es una diadema que cumple adecuadamente dado el precio. Es buena compra, la recomiendo.
