Excellent, sturdy stand, does the job, costs less.
This is a great stand for the money. I originally bough 2 but recently upgraded to a full set of 4 Paiste's and bought 2 more to match. Unless you're the hardest hitting Metal Drummer on earth or maybe a sponsored pro who gets their gear for free, for around $60 I think the only real competition with double bracing boom is Gibralter which I don't own so can't comment. PDP has been my go to for fairly priced drum gear, I own their double bass pedal and 2 legged high-hat stand both of which have served me well. DW's second label and no doubt made in China but the stuff works, is high quality, why pay 2x?

Quality stand
Holds cymbals we’ll have not had a problem yet. Very cool double braced feature prevents the cymbals from falling over.

Excellent Stand for a Reasonable Price!
This is an excellent stand, especially for the price. It's very stable, extends much higher then I will ever need and can support a mounted 8" and 10" tom, a 16" crash cymbal and a small clamp boom with a 10" crash cymbal with no issuee at all. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality boom stand for a reasonable price.

Great Value, but height not low enough!
I bought this to replace my ride stand. For $50 I think this is a good value. It's very sturdy and easily supports my 21-inch ride. The boom is easy to adjust and tucks away inside the stand so it can be used as a straight stand as well. My only gripe is this thing doesn't go low enough! I simple wanted to have my ride hover slightly above my floor tom, approximately 8 inches above my 20" kick drum. IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE. I couldn't get my cymbal that low without it hitting the boom arm on the rebound. Despite the high quality construction of this stand, I was about to return it when I went online and found a suggestion to rotate the boom and HANG the ride from it. Problem solved. The only negative is that the boom must be fully extended for my 21" ride to clear the center tube. So now my setup's footprint is a little bigger than I would like. This stand is fantastic and I couldn't imagine needing anything more heavy duty, but if you're trying to place I ride cymbal I highly recommend looking at something else. Furthermore, if all you need is to place a crash or two, I suggest saving some money and looking into the 700 series as this 800 series is a little overkill unless you're mounting a ride or toms.

If you ordered a BOOM model, watch out...
Nice cymbal stand. I set it up and it appeared to be a STRAIGHT stand instead of the BOOM stand that I ordered. I'm glad I didn't return it. While setting it up I found the boom! It slides into the center of the stand so it can be used as a STRAIGHT or BOOM stand. Duh! I'm a new drummer so maybe this is common. My other cymbal stands do not have this feature. The DW 800 has part numbers for straight stand and boom stand. I don't know why anyone would buy the straight when the boom model actually does both. I tend to make simple things confusing. This is probably another example. Love the stand, love the 2-in-1 feature. They should advertise it on the box. Another reviewer returned his because he ordered a boom stand and received a straight stand. Now I wonder if he got a boom stand and didn't realize it.

They are great for the price
I bought 2 of these after I bought heavier crash cymbals. They are great for the price. Still a little twisty if I mount my 12" tom to the stand. I have also out my heavy ride on these with the booms extended and they are solid. I bought a heavy pearl equivalent prior to these... And I feel these stands are better than the pearl (930 series). I like that the boom will slide into the to tube so it will work as a straight stand also. I gig out about 3 times a month, and these have held up great.

Awesome boom stand!!! Buy it!!!
They're asking around $85 at my local music store for this stand. Not that I blame them, this is a very nice stand. It is very sturdy and because of the boom rod and articulation points I can place it anywhere in my kit with just a few adjustments. This price is a steal for such a high quality stand. I highly recommend it!

Can't be beat for the price!
I'm a beginner drummer (at age 72!) and had bought a set of Pearl Roadshow drums early during the pandemic. My main instrument is guitar and I still jam with old friends weekly. I've actually improved enough to play drums during our jam sessions. Mainly blues and 60's, early 70'd rock. Wanted to add a new cymbal for variety and purchased a 14" Meinl crash. Read the reviews of the stand and ordered it at the same time. Double braced. Can't tell the difference from the Pearl hardware. Very pleased

Substantially larger and sturdier than other brands that cost only ten dollars or so less. Spend the extra money. It's more than worth it. Also, if used as a straight stand, there's no off set. People who say it's unstable as a boom should learn about leg positioning.

As price goes, this is worth it! Very sturdy stand.

I am really impressed with these stands. They are very durable, stable and have great positioning abilities. I bought a 700 and an 800 and I absolutely love them both. Great quality stands for the price. Highly recommend.
