I work at home, and I can't always police my beverages for cat paws. I also find this keeps my hot tea warmer for longer.The pictures don't do justice to the translucent parts of this cover. It truly is beautiful, and adds a touch of beauty to an ordinary activity. One word of advice:MEASURE your favorite go-to cups before you buy, and compare with the measurements given for these covers. If it hangs over the edge, that's actually FINE -- I tend to lift it by raising opposite sides like a taco so the steam droplets can slide right back into the glass. Just make sure your mug isn't bigger than the specifications.I don't have a dishwasher, but these wash instantly -- I truly can't imagine how a person would need to put one in a dishwasher.Just beware...you'll probably wind up getting other styles after this. I already have. They're brilliant and beautiful!

Works great on our largest bowls. Use instead of Saran Wrap when raising dough for our breads. Only complaint was delivery time was excessive. Had to wait at least a month, but worth it in the end.

Love it. Perfect to cover a half cut melon, or bread when proofing. Wish it is sold in Uk as well
