I have diabetes and my blood levels are assessed over four times a year. Since taking one tablet three times a day, I know that my cholesterol levels are fine and my Vitamin D levels are good or the levels have been high in the summer when I get more intense sunlight. I took fish oil to improve HDL levels, which is high density lipoproteins that help clear low-density lipoproteins (LDL) which clog the arteries. My HDL may still be low at times, but it is not as low as it was and is no longer considered to be a problem. A recent MRI of the cardiovascular system in my thorax found minimal collection of LDL in my arteries. I should also point out that I walk 3 miles a day and try to eat fairly healthy. All that helps, I am sure. Medication needs help. It is a big pill, but I have no problem; I take capsules without water - I drink water after. The initial taste of the capsule is pleasant, but the longer it is in your mouth, the more you taste the fish oil. I like fish and, let's face it, it is fish oil.

Fish oil is one of my standby supplements. Having used it in the past, I reordered after having some odd side effects from another brand. This one was not fishy tasting to begin but lemon has been added.

Double strength. Only take one instead of two capsules. That's important when you take as many supplements as I do. Easy to swallow, no after taste, the brandi prefer on a regular basis.
