16x28 mm 0.63" x1.1'' Pinned Nylon Hinges RC Airplane Plane Parts Replacement (Pack of 20)

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these hinges for the price. The foam hinges on my Dynam Waco ailerons were failing (typical of foam airplanes) and I wanted something that would allow free and easy control surface movement, look decent and be fairly easy to install. These fit the bill. After an hour or so's work the Waco is ready for some freshly charged batteries and blue skies next Saturday morning!

Started using these hinges on a plane I'm building using Dollar Tree foam board. I applied them to the wing section and I thought it was going to be too thick for the 3/8" thickness. These hinges fit perfectly and after securing them with Gorilla glue, they are in place and I expect them to be there for the long run!

Not as good as Hobby King’s hinges of the same size. The plastic is thick on these and they don’t swing freely. Hobby King’s hinges have thinner plastic so they install more easily and they swing freely out of the box without modification. I sanded these Amazon hinges down to get them to swing without resistance. They installed in 1/8” balsa but I would not try them in anything thinner.
