I just started playing violin and learning on my own ..tried first the suzuki course but it was still very difficult and seemed skipping quite a lot . With this book I truly learning now and very easy to follow Also very good that all lessons are uploaded on the sound cloud app

What a great book e plains everything from getting your violin right through to being able to play. Great book for beginners. I would recommend.

Used to play so I picked up this book to try to retain the old muscle memory.. the book was easy to use and really helped me learn to play again! I’d recommend for those who want to pick it up again

I have taken up the violin after a 53 year break. With the help from this book it's all coming back to me. K

Book is simple to read

Overall good, but don't expect to be able to get started with a book alone. Find some good videos online that demonstrate proper bow hold, bowing, left-hand position, etc. I find that the lesson structure works well for me, particularly as you start getting into the more complex finger movements of 3rds. Do yourself a favor and focus on making each note sound clean (stop bow, place finger, start bow, keep bow parallel). If you do this, then your playing will sound dramatically better, which is far more encouraging when starting out.
