My husband and I normally prefer dark or medium-dark roast coffee so I wasn't sure how this one would measure up since it is listed as a medium roast. This had a surprising amount of bitterness for a medium roast. It wasn't unpleasant, as I actually enjoy a hint of bitterness, but that isn't something you normally find in a medium roast. I love buying whole bean coffee because it usually tastes so much fresher than pre-ground. Plus, I love the strong coffee aroma that fills our entire kitchen during the grinding process. YUM! The beans were not oily whatsoever which definitely made me happy. Some of the oilier beans make grinding quite difficult, especially when you get to the bottom of the bag. (typically seen with low quality coffee) The 12 oz bag size is considerably smaller than what I normally buy since we go through a lot of coffee in our household. However, this is a great size to add to a gift basket with other items. :) The coffee is good, on par with many of your mainstream brands. It is a very drinkable coffee, on the smooth side, with a slight bitter aftertaste. It tastes good black on its own or with our favorite additives. Overall, we were pleased with the taste and quality of the coffee. It isn't the best coffee we have ever tried but if you are a fan of darker roasts (even though this is listed as medium body), I think you will enjoy this one.

It’s not light roasted coffee ! More like medium dark! Taste is bitter and not smooth unfortunately ..( on a second picture you can see it’s darker than other brand so called light roasted coffee )

Reliable, fast delivery- delicious product.

This was not a great bag of coffee. Very stale and lacking any vibrancy. All it provided was caffeine and if that were the case I’d just get pre ground Folgers. If you do any type of pour over I’d suggest looking else where. If you like light roast bright coffee I suggest you go else where. Just flavorless beans with caffeine. Waste of money

QUICK TAKE: First off, I want to compliment Grace Farms for their company mission and goals. It's always good to see companies that are looking to the future and providing support and direction to make the world a better place. That being said, this is a good house blend coffee. It's got a nice acidity level to it that will please those that like their coffee with just a bit of bite (that isn't overwhelming). Using a medium fine grind this coffee delivers a TON of flavor. So why is it only 4 stars? Well I found this coffee to be stronger and much darker than a "medium" roast. I was expecting more of a morning blend and this went beyond that. The flavor is great but it is on the darker side which is not what I was expecting from this particular bean. THE GOOD STUFF: - Excellent flavor (on the darker side though) with a nice acidity and just enough bite - AMAZING company mission that you can feel good about purchasing from THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF: - Darker than the medium roast I was expecting, this wouldn't be an everyday morning runner for me. WORTH IT? If you're looking for a roast on the darker side with just a bit of acidic bite, this will fit the mark for you. The company has an amazing mission, so you can feel great about purchasing from them.

Delicious. I wish there were more reasonably priced single origin coffees on Amazon.
