very small compared to the picture shown and not worth the money

Great size. It's larger than the other one I have that holds my regular salt. This one will hold my Kosher salt. Now I need to get one for my Sea Salt. It will be one without writing on it but different from the plain one I have so I can tell the difference. This one is still great and very much giftable. The lid swings open easily and it doesn't come off so that's not a problem like some reviews I have read. My other one sits on the counter and the saltehas never gotten clumpy so I can't imagine that this one will be any different. I love being able to put a salt spoon or measuring spoon into the containers or just dump salt into the pasta pot. Since I wash my hands frequently when I cook or bake I even like being able to get a pinch of salt when I need one. As for bamboo, well I love it. It looks great, last forever, is a renewable resource. I own many things out of bamboo. Clothes, towels and wash cloths, socks, sheets, reusable"paper" towels, the yarn I use to knit blankets with are all made out of bamboo. I own bamboo canisters and a few other items in the kitchen. So finding bamboo salt cellars has made me very happy.
