I originally bought these box cutters to use for boxes. But, with cutters sitting next to me, I had the sudden urge to finally remove the carpet that's been on my stairs. I've been putting off this projects for years now, but I had the sudden motivation to do it. I watched two youtube shorts, rolled up my sleeves, and began the work of cutting through the carpet. This cut great through the carpet and I was able to reveal some pretty decently preserved hardwood underneath. Huzzah! The blade folds easily and also opens up smoothly - I don't have to wrangle it back into the handle, nor do I worry about losing a finger when it opens. The blades are also removable and can be replaced. Overall for the price, I'd say this is pretty unbeatable. And you get four so you can leave them all over the place!

These are really nice cutters. After years of purchasing cutters for the many reasons we do, I have finally found some that are well-built, and so sturdy/solid..the blades in each one are actually strong and sharp enuf to cut down numerous boxes for recycle before changing the blade..PLUS they send a really nice plastic case with ten extra blades..oh, and another plus is that each knife has a safety cover for it’s blade..they have a ‘button’ to release dull blade on upper middle of knife body, then toward the back on top, is the ‘press down’ piece to release and fold the knife back up, (I’m only mentioning this because the first time I went to fold knife back up, I pressed the blade release🤭). I am so happy with these, and did I mention the colors are so cool. I use these every day for many piddly things, but have cut down many Amazon & cat litter boxes and have yet to change the blade!I will be purchasing more for giving to my kidz & grandkidz.

Needed something to have around to cut stuff, and I am always misplacing knives, these are cheap enough to buy a bunch and just have them around. Comes with extra blades since these do dull quickly, so you will need to buy more blades, but those are cheap enough. Much easier than having to have a "real" knife and having to sharpen it just to dull it cutting boxes open and such.
