Terrible experience and unworthy
I receive the product yesterday on the 29 July. When I open the box. The item was not even complete. The CD is not provided. Not even a manual. And when I setup based on YouTube. Now the router keeps crashing every time. Reset button doesn’t work and not responding. Keeps on showing eSATA for no reason. Sometime power light not even showing. Internet not showing but yet connected. Worst case. Unable to contact seller for inquiries. Be careful

Bought this WIFi router as a replacement of my TP-Link WDR4300 and D-Link DIR815. Both of these had the connectivity stability issue. Not totally blaming the two for the initial cause of the stability as my ISP intermittently has some issues. The problem is that these two products could not fully reestablish connectivity after the ISP connectivity issues were recovered, sometimes by rebooting the modem, and some other times just self-recovering. After the installing this LinkSys router, the stability is way better, day and night difference. The signal strength and quality are also way better. My full house, including the basement, is well covered even the router is placed on the 2nd floor. The configuration user interface is very intuitive to use. The only thing that I hope is supported is the setting of time granularity of parental control usage to half an hour, instead of full hour. Maybe I didn't get the hint from the intuitive UI? Bottom line, it's a great product with the best stability of a few WiFi routers I have owned over the last few years. No major issue with other aspects of the router. Hence give it a 5 star rating.

Quality with a capital Q !! Pure wifi power, easy to configure, just performing as it should . Well worth it's relative high price. Antenna conectros are of hIgh quality, leaves no room for bad contacts. LinkSys packaging is near perfect, with attention for details, almost like Apple. Opening the box gives you already the Wow factor. Then finding 3 different power cables with 3 different international connectors makes the experience complete.

I bought this to replace an older router that will be relegated to backup use. Once configured it works great. The one slight caveat is getting logged in the first time. There isn't an option to just connect to the router and set it up, you have to pull the old router, put this one in its place, and access it wirelessly after setting up an account with Linksys. In my case, my ISP limits my WAN connection to a single MAC address, which is the MAC of my old router. Once I plugged this one in my ISP wouldn't recognise it until I jumped through a few hoops with them. Once that was done it was simple to set up. I would prefer just to be able to log in directly without connecting to the Internet first, setting it up and cloning the MAC from my old router. Then I could just swap the routers. The interface is clear and straightforward and setup is simple. As discussed before, it's larger and heavier than many of the newer routers. The indicator lights are actually intuitive and more than just flashing indicator lights. The antennas are short, and unlike some other routers, they don't flop around. They stay exactly where you position them. The router sits in a corner utility room in the lower level of our ~4,000 square foot home and the wireless signal strength at the upper level far corner is still solid. With the old router it was marginal at best, even with extended antennas. Things "feel" faster (yes, just subjectively) with this router in place as opposed to the older router, especially when multiple people are doing multiple Internet activities. As far as looks, the router sits on a shelf in the corner of a utility room. I couldn't care less if it were a square cube painted pink, as long as it works. I've never considered a router's appearance "cool" or been concerned about looks, so if appearance is more important than function and you don't like the appearance, this router may not be the one for you. As solid as this router is built, it should last for several years.
