Works amazing and sounds great and loud, so far so good after 2 years

I just wanted a PA and a loud horn to get drivers' attention but all I could find is devices like this. The siren features are illegal where I live (can't even have them installed) so I had to open up the box and cut some wires to disable them so that only the horn and PA work. Also drove a screw through the selector switch in a way so that I could only select the Standby (PA) and Radio functions (which lets you play your stereo through the loudspeaker, full of unlimited potential if I would stop being lazy and get around to running the wires). The screw part through the switch was optional since I already physically disabled the sirens, but I'm not taking any chances with the local police. I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness of the microphone; it looks like cheap plastic in the pics but feels very solid and sturdy in the hand. I didn't like the orange bits, though, so I painted them black with a marker. Unfortunately, I just can't fully recommend this product due to how quiet it is, even though I purchased the loudest version they sold. At max volume, the horn is attention-getting but it's no train horn, being just barely louder than my car's own horn (though if I hit both horns at the same time it's decently loud). The PA is MUCH quieter, however, like half as loud (you can hear this in other customers' review videos). You can just BARELY be heard at low speeds if you shout into the mic with your lips practically touching it. Forget about being heard while moving at decent speeds on the streets and highways. Kinda defeats the entire point of the PA, so at this point the box is mostly just an overpriced horn for me. Also feel like I should mention that the mount makes the box stick out a bit too much, forcing me to drill holes into the unit to make it sit more flush. Was easy enough to do since this box is not hard at all to disassemble (which is how I was able to disable the sirens so easily). In conclusion. I wish I could recommend this unit, but it's just not loud enough, especially at the price point and for what I intended on using it for.

September 1st 2022 update: After install and usage. I can say this product is average to below average. (This unit was installed at a fuse block constant 12v for 7 months and at a battery terminal and chassis ground for the remaining 8 months.) • There are times when the full volume does not function correctly. And is intermittent. • Under sudden acceleration, unit loses power or surges (either or) and discharges the siren feature randomly. • At a stop while idling in gear, the siren feature will also discharge suddenly and expose the vehicle’s position. • one of the wires attached to the potentiometer broke (no photo) and I re soldered and heat shrunk correctly all connections. •Speaker mount pinches the green wires against the speaker and shorts them out. I had to drill a hole for them the correct way. •other various fit and finish issues that aren’t worth mentioning. Overall I cannot and will not recommend this unit. It would be better to spend the extra money for a good unit. This is at most a play thing and gimmick. ——————————————————————— So far product looks great. Arrived in good shape. All knobs, buttons and physical functions work and are very tactile. The selection knob on the front of the unit doesn’t quite line up with the options (ie the yelp function). My only gripe is the dejacket on the green wire pair for the speaker unit. A few copper strands were cut on one and the other is frayed. I’m go’na have to cut and lose some length and tin it properly. I would’ve preferred them not pre-dejacketed. Instructions are clear and simple for anyone to do an install. There should be no issue on that end. Note, instructions are only in English. Will update review after install.

Hooked everything up according to the directions. Siren and PA worked great! Could not get the 2 AUX switches to work. Ran a jumper wire and they worked so I ended up having to run my own power wire to the 2 aux switches. After I did that everything works great. Does not come with an in line fuse which for how cheap they are they should just include it. Also wish the aux buttons lit up when on as a reminder your lights are on so I ordered new light up switches for it too. Overall I’d say it’s worth the money. Nice low budget system.

Well, I’ve had this now for going on three years still works great. Have shifted its place a few times under my hood or in the grill very durable, loud and fun to use great for pissing off your neighbors or even just for some simple road rage and telling people to get the hell out the way, there doesn’t go a day that I don’t use it
