Setup was fairly easy
This is for the Ubiquiti Networks UniFi UAP-AC-PRO. First let me say that I have had setup issues in the past with UniFi and their computer server software. This time I was pleasantly supply at how smooth (overall) the process went. I hooked up three of these units and as long as you connect them one at a time, the process, though slow, works very well. Once connected you have to wait for the install and update of each device. Then I renamed them based on location. In the past hooking them up was a much bigger pain. For those that have not used UniFi before, do a little reading, as the software is not straightforward for applying settings, and you have to really read everything. Also unless you are wanting more than one unit stay away from these, there are easier units to work with if you are not tech savy. Performance: EXCELLENT! We have had issues with wireless due to the amount of wireless devices required for this location, so far (6 weeks) these have been working great. I have noticed they jumped around on the channels and seem to have found a decent comprise and no complaints from the users anymore about poor signal, or the signal not jumping from one AP to the next.

Really Useful
I’ve just added two of these to my house to cover everything, and it’s been perfect. I can keep a good connection speed and control all the APs from my laptop. I just love Ubiquiti.

Amazing product
You will never go wrong with ubiquiti. It’s nice to have it here so the delivery is faster than the actual site. Easy to deploy. Design it’s impecable. Works incredibly fast after the proper configuration on the router.

Gold standard in home / small business Wireless Access Points
I work for an IT company and have done quite a few wireless deployments with a few different setups (Watchguard, Ubiquiti, Ruckus, Meraki), in terms of a home, small business or even medium business setup, Ubiquiti is a no brainer. Their equipment just works, it works well and gives you plenty of options to do your configurations however you want, their equipment works together extremely well with excellent logging / information to help you hone your setup if you know what the options do. They provide excellent documentation on their site to help you delve further in on their products and they come out with new offerings at a blistering pace. The Ubiquiti AC Pro is one of the hallmark Access Points, they have some others but honestly I wouldn't waste time with anything lower then this, it's just too good for the price difference. I've deployed hundreds of these and am never disappointed, I use them in my own house and my own mother's house. I don't think for the price that anything even comes close, naturally if money is no object there is better stuff out there but at this price point, without the subscription fees, these things are gold.

Install good, setup challenging
This Wi-Fi extender works great. Easy to install and connect. Great increase in bandwidth over the poor signal level that I had. Went from 26mbs to 226mbs. The only issue that I had is the setup and configuration is not intuitively obvious. Everything points you towards signing up for a Ubiquiti service for $29 per month. I did a YouTube search and found a setup video that was very easy to follow. The setup went well after that using my smart phone.

Flawless after two years outside in midwest weather
We downsized back in 2021 and ended up with a detached garage roughly 60 feet from the main house. I debated burying cable from the house to the garage but after reading some reviews decided to give this a shot. I can't say enough how well this has worked out. I ran a cable from my first floor home office along the side of the house to the back and installed the access point about 8-9' up and under an overhang. It has worked flawlessly for two years through hard rain and freezing cold. I spent weekends in the garage working on our cars and motorcycles with the door closed and heat on and never lost a signal. Never. I stream games and music the entire time. Even have a Google Home to keep in touch with others in the house. I strongly recommend this product. It's well worth the cost.

Very good access point with lots of power and lots of features.
Very good professional grade access point with lots of power/range and lots of features. If you are a small/medium business looking to have great wifi, these are the ones to buy. On par with much more expensive products. However, this is NOT a good AP for a home or a novice. You cannot simply plug it in and surf to an IP address to configure it. It requires a controller, some sophisticated configuration, and a good knowledge of networking. We have used the UBNT products to construct a network that has persistent VPN to all of our covid-bound employees homes, including adding an AP like this one. It's worked fantastic except in areas where high-speed internet does not work well -- ya, talkin' about you, Comcast.

Great for meshing for better coverage
Bought this to mesh with another of the same. Works as it should.

Excellent coverage for my home WiFi solution I have used 2 of AC-Pro and 1 AC-Lite to entirely cover my duplex home I get WiFi speeds in range of 250 to 280 mbps through my home. Positioning of the AP is very vital though to eliminate blind spots. Would suggest to go for a dedicated UniFi controller or use a raspberry pi with controller installed in it. Instead of a PC with controller for a better experience.

I have a large 4 bed house with my office and all my servers and network gear in the downstairs corner. No WiFi access point I've tried so far has been able to penetrate enough walls to get WiFi to the opposite side of the house upstairs. I've tried several different solutions to this: 1. Apple Airport Extremes upstairs and downstairs WiFi linked. This kinda worked but the handoff was pretty terrible. Also the upstairs Extreme would often suddenly stop transmitting. 2. Apple Airport Extremes upstairs and downstairs powerline LAN linked. I used a TP-Link AV1200 kit for this. The transfer rates were great and this seemed to work well. But some of the machines upstairs were gaming machines and there were the occasional dropped packets. I'm guessing something with the wiring in this house. 3. Linksys WRT1900ACS. This was much more powerful than the Apple devices and covered almost the whole house from one box in my office. Unfortunately the WiFi would completely crash about once every 24 hours and the unit would need rebooting. So, upon several recommendations I finally went and tried an Ubiquiti unit. Due to the Power-Over-Ethernet I could actually wire this from the office to the centre of the house using one cable. Which kept my wife happy, she wasn't a fan of cables all over the hallway. This one unit covers my whole house and a large proportion of outside the house too. I wired it up and then fled for a work trip for a week. I come back to find the family are happy, it has transferred nearly 200GB to all their devices in my absence and is still completely rock solid. Most of this would have been Netflix, YouTube and gaming. There are two ways of setting this unit up. You can either use an app on your phone which is very easy to do but only gives you access to basic functionality, or you can install a controller. On my first setup I used the app but very soon reset it and installed the controller software on one of my servers. I don't recommend going the controller route unless you know something about configuring networks. I now have 2.4GHz, a 5GHz and a guest WiFi network configured in the unit. You can have the unit block traffic to the rest of your network automatically for the guest network or for additional security you can use a VLAN to separate out the guest network. There are many more features for the guest WiFi which I don't need and haven't played with, they are probably more suited to hotels. You can see from the photo I've wall mounted it in the downstairs hallway (we moved in a few months ago and haven't painted the hallway yet, so I apologise for it not being neat). It comes with mounting kits for either ceiling tiles or drilling holes in ceilings/walls. For now I have opted for 2 medium sized 3M Command picture hanging strips because I wasn't 100% sure at the time of fitting whether this would be the right unit for us. I may at a later date drill holes and permanently mount it. I thoroughly recommend this unit, but with the caveat that it is definitely not the easiest to set up if you want all the features.
