It's what you want it to be
Absolutely worth the price! It's a workhorse and functions exactly as it should. I have nothing bad to say about it. Do wear eye protection.

No longer happy with Metabo!
UPDATE! April 22/2025 After six months of owning it and a couple of big deck jobs it will no longer turn on! I contacted Metabo twice but they are ignoring me. Amazon customer service helped me to return this item for a full refund! I just bought this tool after I've been using my Metabo HPT 18V framing nailer for two years now. The framing nailer is a great tool Soo I figured I can't go wrong with the metal connector nailer, I've built a lot of decks over the years and finally decided to get this nailer, I am very pleased with this tool, it nailed 965 1 1/2, and 2 1/2" nails on the first day on the same battery! Very impressed. I will definitely consider more Metabo tools for the future. I'm heavily invested in Ridgid but when I was ready for a framing nailer theirs wasn't available yet, that's why I got the Metabo.

An amazing tool for metal connectors!
This will save you a ridiculous amount of time putting in metal connectors! I love it. the nails are expensive about the cost of using screws, but way faster. It is powerful enough to drive through the metal making its own hole. the positive placement pin puts the nail in that exact spot.

Broke on first job
Broke on the first job, had to finish the rest of the job hand nailing all the joist hangers on on a huge wrap around deck even tho I spent $400 on a tool so I wouldnt have to, the nailer has cost me money since it took so long to hand nail everything. Worked great until it shattered the whole end off of it while shooting a nail into joist hanger piece's went flying everywhere. Thankful that I always wear my safety glasses.

Gun
I do like the gun and gets the job done, though the gun is a little on the hefty side and can be awkward in tighter spaces.

It's a good gun.
Works very, very well. I've already ran a box through it and if I've any complaint, it would be this...it's not the greatest firing at angle meaning this positive placement really shines when square with whatever hardware your fastening. This isn't something that surprised me as the older Hitachi pneumatic positive placement nailers were pretty much identical in that respect actually....they were and are actually worse. However I found if I put a little umpff behind it I could get her to fire most times so it's a minor complaint. Shoots fast, fast as you need. Battery life as advertised and this is not a terribly heavy gun for a fit framer or someone who puts weight further down the list of priorities. I do enjoy this gun. UPDATE A hair under a year of use and it still shines. So much hardware in these homes I frame so it gets a ton of abuse. The ability to fire 1-1/2 and 2-1/2 is just gold. The hook is a little dinky, but would definitely buy again
