Makes whole wheat bread that tastes better than commercial mixes
Since I purchased an Oster Expressbake Bread Machine 3 months ago, I had only used commercial bread mixes before today. It was time for some variety, so I ordered Bob's Red Mill whole wheat flour and a different brand of unbleached bread flour to start from scratch. The 2-lb. loaf in the picture is from the honey grain bread recipe in the Oster instructions. The recipe uses about 2/3 unbleached flour and 1/3 whole-wheat flour plus a smaller amount of quick cook oats. I worried that the whole wheat would create a small, dense loaf, but the picture shows the loaf rose nice and tall. The flavor is wheaty but still tastes light, and the crumb texture is better than the mixes I've tried. With two generous-sized bags of Bob's wheat flour in my refrigerator, I will no longer hesitate to bake my own whole-wheat bread. You will love the results you get with this excellent product.

Best I've Ever Had
I make a lot of bread in various bread machines, and this flour makes the absolutely best whole wheat bread. I can't figure out why, but it rises and tastes better than any other brand I've tried. I've had to cut other whole wheat flours with bread flour to get a good rise, and to reduce the bitter flavor. With Bob's I can use 100% whole wheat, and I get a great result. I'd love to know what the secret is. Unfortunately, this often seems to be in short supply and subject to significant price gouging. Looking forward to post-pandemic abundance and lower prices.

Great texture and flavor!
Pretty much the subject line. Great texture and taste and worth it compared to other brands. I wish I could complain about it, because I love complaining, but I can't complain so I'll complain about not being able to complain instead.

Product excellent, came damaged
This is an awesome product, and I would absolutely order it again in a heartbeat. It even came earlier than expected, which was great. The only problem is that one of the two bags got to me opened, and it looks like it may have gotten snagged on a peice of machinery. Heads up, and I am sure it will get fixed soon.

You won’t be mad that you tried it!!!
I love this flower it is way better than white flower. Your fried chicken will be so good crispy but not heavy like chicken fried with white flower. It will be light not heavy and crispy not greasy. Oh I fry mine in coconut oil. My husband and son and daughter loved it. They don’t want me use white flower ever again. I recommend this flower!!! It’s so good🥰

El contenido proteínico de la harina actual es alto y suficiente para lograr una estructura de masa excelente. Su color es totalmente amarillo sin trozos de salvado muy visibles. Su olor es pronunciado y agradable (las harinas del súper casi no huelen). Con 50% de harina integral actual y los 50% de harina blanca (usando la misma masa madre y las otras mismas condiciones) el crecimiento del pan aumentó x3, mientras con otras harinas he logrado el aumento únicamente x2. Todo esto, respetando la actividad de masa madre, los tiempos de fermentación a temperatura de ambiente y luego en frio, más las condiciones de horneado – usando la típica estufa de gas casera y una tapa de hierro fundido los primeros 20 minutos cuando el pan crece en vapor hasta tocar la tapa y luego ya sin tapa también pega un estirón significante y se broncea. Con el pan voluminoso (1kg de harina en total) – el tiempo de horneado (dependiendo de la estufa) es de unos 80 minutos, primero al máximo y luego a fuego lento.

Quería una harina que de verdad fuera integral, y no harina refinada a la cual le agregan luego cascarilla de salvado (eso hacen en México y lo venden como "integral"). Esta de Bob es muy costosa y la mayoría no puede adquirirla, sin embargo la calidad y aportación nutricional es irrefutable.
