Got this for my friends son as one of his x mas presents and I read it when I was wrapping it lol It is a great book for young children I really loved it

Beautiful book

A really lovely, positive book for teaching young children the importance of kindness. I bought this for my 4 year old after he has been struggling with sharing his toys and has been going through a very snatchy stage! He loved me reading this book to him today, we read it 4 times back to back! He loved that in the story the animals had to learn to be kind too, he loves animals and that helped a lot with getting the message of the book through to him. The book is very well written, clearly by an excellent writer. I really recommend this book to other young children :)

It is possible to have fun with your family And be kind to others and love them and respect your neighbours and other people who want to help you like when they take care of your life and you will never miss out on the fun

Absolutely brilliant story for children to gain an understanding of kindness. My little one loves all these books

I was disappointed with this as it doesn’t help children to deal with emotions at all. What would be helpful was if the character was feeling perhaps sad, frustrated, angry and so on and the story showed that it was okay to feel those emotions (it is! natural and healthy to feel any emotion) but ways in which to deal with them so that you’re being kind, gentle, thoughtful etc. Instead the animals are called “rude” for disagreeing (disagreements are a part of life and can be learning experiences) and the attitude is very much one of “wear a smile”, however you’re feeling, which does the opposite of helping children understand their emotions, process and actually deal with them. Development of Emotional literacy at a young age can help children to become adults who understand their emotions and support them in having better mental health, This kind of “sweep it under the rug” lesson does the opposite, maybe your child will act kind for a bit and push down their “bad” emotions but this is really out of date with current understandings of child development and what actually helps with genuine long term emotional literacy.

I was searching for the Q&A section, but couldn’t find it. I really hoped that there was a Brazilian Portuguese version of these books. I hope that the author will make them.

My son read this book for his classmates for his first day in his new school. Very important lesson and lovely story ❤️

I've already read another book by the same author, and I have to say that I like this one even more. As with her others, the illustrations are delightful and the rhyming verse conveys an important message. Highly recommended for your little one!
