I bought 2 of these to keep in both my wife's and my vehicles. I have many other rather expensive flashlights but wanted some inexpensive ones to leave in the vehicles that used the AA size since they are the most readily available battery at just about any store at any given time in case an emergency should occur and I need to have access to some replacement batteries. I find sometimes the AAA, C, and D size are all harder to find in random stores and gas stations. I am running both flashlights on Energizer ultimate lithium batteries and they work fine, I had run into issues before with other AA flashlights not working with lithium batteries. Here in Florida I have to use lithium batteries in the flashlights that I store batteries in for long periods, if I use regular alkaline batteries they tend to corrode, leak or expand essentially ruining the flashlights because the batteries are near impossible to remove sometimes. These lights aren't the brightest but are good enough for me to leave in the vehicles for emergencies and also have the strobe feature which is very useful for attracting the attention of others. Some areas for improvement would be to add more flat sides or larger ones around the flashlight head since it tends to roll very easily. Next they should add a hole in the tail cap to be able to attach a lanyard. Next, the tail cap seems a little difficult to screw on after the batteries are inserted, I find it may be very easy to cross thread if not lined up perfectly. My last area may not be an issue right away but I will have to wait and see, the lens is plastic which is a good thing for if I accidentally drop the light but may be bad if I use the light on the highest setting for a long period since it may get hot cause the lens to melt or discolor. Also the plastic lens is probably going to get scratched and scuffed up pretty easily compared to a glass lens. *** I didn't receive any instructions with either flashlight. I had to read another person's review to find out that there even was any more besides the ones from normal clicking the power button. Basically you need to hold down the power button while in the different basic modes to cause some of the LEDs to start to either dim or turn on or off.

What a flashlight. Light is VERY bright. Could probably see it from space lol. Flashlight very well made. Has 3 light settings. The focused is extremely bright and shines way down the road. The broad light pattern illuminates the area well. Strobe is nice and bright also. Nice heavy feel from the machined aluminum. Water resistant O-ring on battery cap. Nice size, comfortable to hold. Bought one to try it out and ordered 2 more, for the RV and home. Nice that it comes with 6 AA batteries. Highly recommend if need a good, bright flashlight.

This is a very nice flashlight. It is durable, the right weight, and it seems to be very well made. Just got it today, and it didn't turn on. I tried rearranging the batteries to no avail. Then I did an online search and found that you have to tighten the battery compartment quite a bit for it to work. Once I did that, it worked. And it's super bright! Can't wait to use it at night. It requires six AA batteries, but after that, you have a lightweight flashlight that will light up the street at night and is perfect for power outages. There is one button to turn it on, and it has three settings, normal light, bright light and flashing light. I like it a lot but took off one star for the battery compartment issue. Other than that, I recommend this flashlight.

Fantastic flashlight! I'd DEFINITELY recommend it. I needed one for the front of the house and it's been dropped, and etc. and still works as PERFECT, as the first day I used it.

Oh my goodness!! These flashlights are THE BEST! They light up a room like you turned on a lamp! Outside is so bright and long distance. So worth the money! The only dislike I have is the flashing setting. Annoying. Definitely don't shine in someone's eye (unless you're in danger). The light is blinding!

Sturdy feeling flashlight. Says it’s 1500 lumens and I believe it to be. It’s brighter than my 1000 lumens flashlight. It comes with 6 AA batteries. Easy to use. It has one button that has a bright setting, dim setting and flashing setting. I knocked off one star because the focusing feature is really more of a dimming feature. You can basically dim the bright light to the low setting and then back up to the bright setting. Looks like there are about 5-6 settings in between. Just hold down the button until it starts to dim and vice versa. Other than this issue it’s actually a great flashlight for 12 bucks! Package came damaged, but flashlight was fine.
