My cat isn’t typically picky- we found him as a kitten in a Disneyland parking lot, so he’s kind of a laid back, carefree guy who will eat almost anything (he loves turkey legs and churros, but that’s not sustainable). The problem is, nothing excited him, food-wise. He always seemed to be intensely bored with both his kibble and his wet food lol. The only thing that ever interested him was when we opened of a can of tuna, and we know that’s not good for him. Getting home from In n Out the other day, I watched as my cat strolled over to his bowl, maintaining eye contact with me the entire time (maybe glancing at the bag in my hand for emphasis), and the look on his face very clearly said, “In n Out? Seriously? But for me this kibble stuff AGAIN? What. Ever.” So I decided to look for something that would give him some food joy, and $10 was definitely not too much to spend in my quest. SHOCKING results. Like you know when you order something weird on Amazon and you can imagine both the best and the worst possible outcomes? This was the best possible- plus a rainbow and a unicorn. My cat LOVES this food. He is sitting outside of my bedroom door right now staring at me, something he hasn’t done a lot since he was young (don’t miss it that much tbh), waiting for his breakfast. He also follows me to the kitchen, tries to redirect me if I get distracted, and puts both paws up on the cupboard door and talks to me when he knows I’m rehydrating the chicken. I obviously can’t be certain, but I think what he’s saying is, “It’s about time! Real food! thank you thank you thank you! I love you so much!” Is this magic? Totally worth $10! We put a few in water and let them sit for a minute, then use a fork to break them up to a consistency that looks a lot like cooked ground turkey. If there’s extra water, my cat thinks it’s gravy, and he laps that up, which is also good for hydration. No smell! I believe some people felt the price was too high, but we only use 3 or 4 of the nuggets for our huge beast of a cat. Once re-hydrated, we mix it with his kibble to help slow down his eating (because he was totally scarfing this stuff at first). The $10 bag has lasted a week, and there’s plenty left. This is one of those purchases I felt obligated to write a review for, because the world is a really stupid place, and we all need to stick together and share the genuinely good (not being paid to say that, I have no stake in this), just really good, stuff :) :)

It just sucks when you have to feed your cat crappy stuff just because you don’t have the funds to buy him the expensive/real cat food that is now available. Either way, I bought one bag of this to try it. FIRST OFF, It’s a tiny bag! I was shocked when I got it. It’s like “half-a-bag-of-cereal” size. Know this first, before you think it’s “cat food size” based on the wording above (I know units of measure are shown but, I’m not great with that - obviously lol - hence the cereal bag comparison). That being said, Moxie LOVES this stuff. It’s currently my go-to treat for him and bribing preference. TIPS I USE TO GET MOST OUT OF PURCHASE: 1) It tells u to add water but, if you break it in half and give to your pet, they will super enjoy eating it. It’s also fantastic as a treat. In fact, as a quick treat, sparsely given out, it’s not overwhelmingly priced. 2) kitty soup - (This is what “I” do for MY kitten. Talk to your vet before you follow any random, online instructions that can affect your pets wellbeing/comfort) If your cat needs to drink more water, you can take a measure cup, measure 1/4 cup of fresh water, add a THIN sliver from a stick of butter (cats need amino acids from fat for healthy muscles) and the smallest pinch of salt (12 grains) and put in mix in microwave for 20 seconds. Remove from microwave and add 1/4 cup fresh, cool water. Pour this in a cat bowl and then crush (into dust) 3 - 5 of the kibbles into it (to create variety; different flavored soups, mix and match other freeze dried ingredients i.e., liver, rabbit, turkey, each time). Next, take a few more kibbles, break them in 4ths, and drop them in there. Mix around and in 1 min (or when temp is now safe/comfortable for cat), you’ll have a high moisture, high nutrient-dense, high protein, highly delicious snack for your baby. Watch him gobble up in one breath. It’s almost scary. Lmao it’s funny cause I can tell he’s totally stuffed but he keeps circling his bowl, licking the edges. Loves this stuff drinks about 1/3 of it. He’s only 11 weeks old. 3) take two or three of the kibbles and crush them, almost to dust (70% into dust), over your cat’s dry food and they will DEVOUR it. Best part is the left overs don’t turn to hardened, smelly, uningestible, kitty garbage left-overs. It can even be left over night and still consumption safe in the morning. This was my most helpful and exciting find about this purchase! “A-” purchase, over all “B-” purchase, considering price.

I wanted to start a raw diet for my Devon Rex but I just don't have the time and this was a good alternative. I did speak to my vet about this and we went over the ingredients and she approved the Stella & Chewy Freeze Dried Raw Cat Morsels. My cat loved the Chicken and eats it very well. I did order all different flavors and the Salmon and Beef both made him sick at his stomach but the Chicken, Duck and Turkey have been great so I will stick with those 3. The cost is a bit higher but my cat is only 6 pounds so we just do one serving a day and this has lasted a long time. I have it on my subscribe and save every 2 months. Lots of complaints about how to use them but if you just pour a little warm water over them and let them set for a few minutes they break up easily. The Beef is the hardest to break and then the turkey. The chicken is easiest and the Salmon and Duck are good but not as easy as the chicken. Lots of complaints about there being a lot of powder and yes the easier to break up morsels are more powdery but you should be breaking them up anyway so that is really not relevant. All in all for me great investment.

It is a bit high in fats for my hedgie, but I hive him one morsel every few days and he just can't stop eating it. The more I give, the more he eats. I will soon order a second pack.

The delivery was fast and packet well. Also, the packaging of the products with respect to freshness was really amazing as most of the products imported from other companies has a short expiration date but its not with this product. A bit on expensive side and i will surely buy again in future if seller provides an exclusive discount or any rebate which will again be appreciated.

This is amazing food, EXPENSIVE but so worth it for me at least and i really trickle it so as for it to last ! Thank you Stella and Chewy for making my precious angels happy with your amazing food!
