The small size limits the device to AA, AAA, and AAAA size batteries, and the USB-C charger port makes the device perfect for travel. The four AAAA rechargeable batteries are good so far in penlights and my active stylus. Overall, the Tectra charger is a good value and its use is intuitive.

Nice small form factor charger set with four AAAA batteries included. This is a NiMH model. Better than NiCd but not as good as the newer Lithium Ion technology. NiMH imseems to be the most common battery tech currently due to its product maturity and value over the oldest NiCd tech, which only stays rechargeable for a year or two if you're lucky. The total voltage is slightly less per battery than "normal" non-rechargeable Alkaline batteries so they will not last long in power hungry devices. If your standard Alkaline batteries lasted a year in the device, expect NiMH to last maybe 30-90 days before recharge.

The first one I ordered didn't show up but the 2nd replacement did and it works fine. Charges fine and the batteries are good. It's compact and useful.

I did not know for sure how well this would work out, but after several months of use, these rechargeable units have performed perfectly. The Battery Level indicator in Win II System Check Up on the Surface keeps an eye on the battery itself, and they last a long time (3-4 months) between charges. A great solution since not everyone carries AAAA batteries.

My daughter has a digital drawing laptop so she really needed this. She’s switched them out a few times already but it came with two so it works.
