New Balance Mens Fresh Foam 1080 V10

Since I've been spending most days in a desk chair in my home office lately (I mean who isn't, right?) I've developed some lower back and hip pain issues. I started forcing myself to take breaks and get exercise and that helps, but I could tell my old shoes and house slippers weren't helping any. My wife and father-in-law both have these shoes and swear by them so I decided to try them out. Thank God for Amazon Wardrobe because the size I thought I needed was definitely too big and the size I thought would be too small fits perfectly. I love the color and designs on these shoes. They're interesting and textured without being too gaudy. They look black and grey in the photo but actually present as a very dark blue in person, which I like. They are super comfortable and the level of arch support is perfect. My back pain is basically gone, and my hip pain is greatly diminished when I wear these shoes and move around more during my day. I'm not a medical expert (and will likely have to see one about my hip if this persists), but I can recommend these shoes to anyone else who is looking for a little more comfort and support during these odd times.

Extremely happy with the cushion on these things. Perfect for logging a lot of miles. Nice aesthetics and you'll never have to worry about chaffing on the back of your ankle as it's got a flexible, ergonomic material. Perfect for my high arches, these neutral shoes allow the foot to flex naturally (read not stability shoes). Room for improvement: I can tell NB tried to trim every ounce of weight and they did make an extremely light shoe with high cushion..... but the top is too sparse in my opinion. There's no insulation so run in cold weather and you will feel it. I would have sacrificed a little extra weight for some additional comfort up top in the tongue area. Also, the elastics straps that hold the tongue in place are a good idea but too tight. I had to snip them with scissors so my feet were comfortable. If anything I have narrow feet (6ft 175 lb) so I can't imagine it's comfy for many people. All in all I would buy this should again, it's very comfortable and 90% the perfect show for me.

Fit me perfectly, very comfortable to walk in and run in. I usually find that liner (like a bootie) uncomfortable around the ankle but these are stretchy enough for me. Loved them immediately, my new favorite!

My last pair lasted over 1000km of running before my little toe started peeking out the side of the knit upper. Great shoe; comfortable, cushioned, and yet light enough for picking up the pace a bit (albeit not sprinting or agility training given the minimal upper support). My only minor complaint is that the upper feels slightly loose—slightly. I doesn’t seem to be the wrong size; it’s just that the foot well feels a bit oversized (which is something I never experience as someone with slightly wide feet). My foot can slide forward or to the side ever so slightly inside the shoe when stopping or turning quickly. Feels odd (but not painful). Overall, good enough for me to buy a second pair.

EDIT - August 2021 - I would deduct this down to 4.5 stars instead of 5. They are super comfortable, but I do move around a lot. Using these for a retail job on my feet 8 hours a day and walking my dogs, the bottoms are ate up. You could argue at about 4, maybe 5 months if use (they were well worn before August) it is still a great value given the level of activity. It’d just be nice if they lasted a year. I purchased another pair in a different color as I tried some different shoes as replacements and none were near as comfy. Even worn down these shoes are still pretty good. I really have no dislikes here. Could you find a supremely comfortable shoe that beats this? Definitely, if you want to spend big money. For the cost, these are perfectly reasonable shoes. Fit as expected.

I almost never write reviews but I love this shoe so much I have to say something. As a physical therapist and active person, I highly recommend this shoe for someone who is on their feet all day. I’ve had mine about 4 months now and wear them pretty much every day. I’m on my feet all day at work, I exercise regularly, play with my daughter, and have endless home improvement projects. The “fresh foam” insoles keep my feet comfortable throughout it all. They’re excellent for work, walking, and any other daily task you may have. One thing negative I have to say is that they don’t provide much ankle support as the fabric on the shoe is a lightweight mesh material. As a PT, I would not recommend these for running if you have weak ankles or a history of rolling your ankles/spraining your ankles. If you don’t plan to run in them or if you have strong ankles, then you’re going to love these shoes. I plan to get the newer 1080’s for my next shoe.

First) I bought these for my husband who has wide feet. I absolutely loved the color, fit and have become his favorite running shoes. Second review) This is an added review to the one above. This is my husband’s third pair in these shoes. I’ve ordered the red, blue and recently yellow for him (he says the fit is just right). I’ve ordered other shoes and have had to return. These seem to be the only NB style that is true to its overall fit (performance, arch support, fit, quality)! Hoping color red becomes available again and a new color like neon orange is added.
