where it says 3/8", think 9.5 mm, where it says 1/2", think 12 mm, and 1/4 is a LOT smaller like maybe 5 mm, BUT perfect for making some hearty nice fresh hash browns, which was actually a big plus, imo. Cutting potatoes was AWESOME. I've purchased a number of various Vevor products. It cut fries for 9 mm easy and while being slightly bigger than 1/4" fries, they were just dandy cooked in the air fryer after a light toss in some veggie oil. I like smaller fries as the fatter ones don't cook as well in the air fryer. Was a piece of cake to assemble AND it cleaned up super easy. It was packed from the factory really well. This was an awesome investment. Dicing? We won't bother even trying it as it would be a pain to line up, but I won't mind finishing that on a cutting board. I love how it was designed and is a well built Kitchen aid, imo. 1st time fries, did it on wax paper, next time will put it in a bake pan so can oil the fries or hash browns. We'll also likely just prep some in advance and freeze them after they're lightly oiled and salted. This was one of my better ideas to invest in and worth every penny. I did make too many fries the 1st time, so a little veggie oil and into the freezer in a qt baggie for next time. It was definitely still a 5 star investment.

Works great endlessly French fries anytime!!! Several sizes easy to chop. My kids love when i pull out the fry press and get to cooking fresh fries. So much better than store bought.

Loved it at first. Used it on potatoes and carrots alot and it works great for a year and for that still works great. We had to make a bunch of apple desserts and thought it would be as awsome and go through 40lbs of apples fast. Put the apple slicer in and discovered that it is not usable do to not being built to line up. The plunger hits the knives vs going between the knives.

I had to make a large amount of fries for a big group. Was I surprised at how easy and fast this was. It was so much fun I wanted to keep doing more !!!!! 😉🙂. Price is so worth it. It is made really well and very sturdy !! I’m sure I will have this for A LONG TIME !! The first potato I thought it was a little hard, but the second on were so fast and easy. Watch YouTube and it will be a breeze. I had 2 men trying to figure it out without instructions , then I watched YouTube and they had it on wrong 😂😂😂😂. So much for men know everything !! 😂😂. I have used the fries so far. I really want to try the apple one. I want to see what else I can use it for. If any of you come up with any ideas could you please share them with us. I wonder if this could be used to cut fresh pineapple after you cut off the outside That will probably be one of my things to do ?!?!?!😜.

Haven't used it a lot, but so far I've been pretty impressed. This product is larger and heavier than I expected. It seems like it would be appropriate for a commercial kitchen. All of this is good. The legs are solid metal, as is the lever and blade holder etc. This product seems like it could survive a nuclear blast... I'm not sure how it will go with long term use, but for my occasional domestic use it has far exceeded expectations.
