Carried Me Through a Generation
This monitor was the very first monitor I ever bought and experienced modern gaming on at the time after coming from standard definition televisions with high input lag. At the time of using this monitor for the first time on my PS4 Pro, the experience for me was transformative because the difference in input lag was immediate, despite me being a console gamer and only having ever experienced 30 and 60 fps. I used this monitor for my PS4 Pro over the course of 2 years all the way up until the PS5 came out and that is when I eventually upgraded to a 4k 60Hz monitor. But before I upgraded, the monitor was excellent and served all of my needs at the time. It was excellent value for the money, all while being perfect for 1080P console gaming. The image clarity and the low response rate made games so much more enjoyable to play than older televisions. This monitor was basically a last 'hoorah' purchase of the later stage of the PS4 generation so I experienced games like Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Spider-Man 2018 ALL on this monitor at 1080P and the games still looked great at the time. Not sure if you can still buy the monitor but I still have mine and it holds up great. I know it would be amazing to connect older HDMI compatible consoles and other hardware to it. I definitely enjoyed my experience with this monitor when I was still using it.

I figured this was a good buy based on the specs
I bought this monitor for playing first person shooters on a console semi-competitively (Game Battles, MLG gametypes, scrimages, sweats, etc.). Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, and mainly Destiny. From what I understand, this is a sub-par monitor for PC gaming, as high-end PC gaming monitors go upwards of 144Hz and beyond. But for a console, with all games being kept at 60FPS or less, I figured this was a good buy based on the specs. Good size, under $200, and low input lag. Before this, I gamed on my family's 72" Samsung TV. I did a bit of research and I believe the input lag was something around 78.9ms. This is around 7-9ms (it's advertised as 1ms, but you have to consider actual lag from the console to the monitor). I pulled it out of the box and it took maybe 30 minutes for me to figure out all the settings and get the brightness and balancing and things set up. I plugged in my Xbox 360 (yes, 360, screw the Xbox One), and started playing. I didn't notice a difference from the TV I was used to. I played quite a bit, and more of my shots started to hit and my movement felt a little better, but I chalked that up to a placebo effect. Then, I went back home for the holidays, taking my 360 with me and plugging it back into the 72" Samsung I mentioned earlier. GOOD LORD. It was unplayable. I noticed the input lag as soon as I was at the main menu of Destiny. I played two doubles matches with a friend on Destiny and could barely move or shoot accurately. It felt like I was moving through jell-o. I gave up playing over break after that. I go back to college on my ASUS, and low and behold, everything was perfect. Unnoticeable input lag, and movement and shooting was back to being crisp and precise. It was then that I noticed just how much of a difference this monitor makes. After that, I played lots of competitive matches and worked to improve as much as I could. When playing sweats on Destiny, I was making plays and hitting shots that wouldn't have been possible in a million years on a 72". I went from an above-average player to one of the top current ranked Destiny players in the world (currently fluctuating between #1 and #2, thanks to clanmates). Is this monitor magical? No. If you're a bad player, you're not going to magically get better with this monitor. But if you're like me, play on a semi-competitive level, you're a well above-average player, and want a good gaming monitor to maximize your performance, go with this. I know BenQ and ASUS are both very good for competitive FPS monitors, and to be honest, I'm not an expert on monitors so I can't say which is better. But I can say that I am more than pleased with this monitor. TL;DR: No problems, beautiful picture quality, near non-existent input lag, and simple user interface make this, in my opinion, one of the best gaming monitors you can get for under $200. I have absolutely no complaints thus far (three months into owning it; I will update if any problems arise). HIGHLY recommend.

Great and pleasantly surprised
I want to start out by saying that this is a great monitor. I had a 4k 40" Samsung TV with HDR I was using but I moved it to the bedroom because it had issues with any stationary images. Even the background of my PC which changes every 1 minute would stay "ghosted" for a little and fade. And the one that was the worst of the images was very problematic. So I had to get something. I wanted a monitor with 4k, HDR, etc. But I want to wait a bit for the technology price to come down and quality to stabilize. But I was not sure which monitor I wanted. A 1080p or 1440p. I figured I wanted IPS but TN was possible. And I was sure I wanted a full 8-bit panel. No 6 bit + frc. I did a lot of searching and found that this monitor, although TN, was full 8 bit. I figured I would take the chance on a TN panel even though I was using a Dell I borrowed from my mother-in-law to save my 4k TV. I was shocked by this monitor. The good and great: -2 HDMI -A hold in the back of the stand that has a cover for running the hdmi wires in a nice clean way. -EASILY adjustable stand that takes up minimal space -Colors and viewing angle: *this is big. This monitor, at least the one I received, produces fantastic colors. I compared it to photos I had worked on and printed and was getting a match. And the calibration was showing that it was producing fantastic colors as did the eye test. Viewing angles are awesome. From the sides it has a good distance until it shifts slightly reddish to me. Now, from the top down there is a major shift but really that is not an issue for me as I never stand and look down at any monitor. And the bottom view angles, when I tilt it up or have hit set up higher are amazing with very little color shift if you get a major tilt. Sitting at a desk this usually is never an issue. -Brightness is awesome. Now I use it in a darker room but even when it is bright in the room at times it looks very bright. I actually had to turn it down a bit. -The monitor has great controls. I really like the little stick that is on the back for navigating around and stuff. If makes switching inputs fast and easy. -Great response time and no blur at all in games. Cons/Bad stuff. -Viewing angles are not IPS good. Even though this does not bother me it can be a negative for some. Then again, if you are sitting in front of this or only at a little angle it is great so fine for me.

Best display I have played on. Don't use a tv.
I can't believe I was using a tv for so long before I bought this monitor. I mostly play Rainbow 6 seige on pc and noticed I was at a bit of a disadvantage due to reaction time against other players. After asking why it was that seemingly everyone had a better reaction time than me I was told by some of the other players that it could be because of my current display being a 4K tv and having a large input lag. I did some research and sure enough input lag on my tv was 60-150ms. That is a really long time when your game depends on lightning reaction times. I also noticed that playing on a tv, I didn't see some things when I was turning my aim quickly due to ghosting. So I got this monitor and the difference was night and day. My reaction times went from a drunkard's 350-400ms to a cracked out call of duty player's 200-220ms: faster than most of the people I was playing against. I did notice there is still a slight amount of ghosting even after adjusting some monitor settings but it is still 1000 times better than using a tv. The color is fantastic as well as the contrast. I can really see fine details when in game when it really matters. It's definitely a huge plus that I paired this monitor with my AMD graphics card to utilize freesync. No more ugly lines in the middle of the screen where half the screen was a frame behind. My ONLY issue with the monitor is that when you slouch in your chair, the monitor lets you know by showing you a washed out picture. Viewing angles aren't the monitor's strong suit but it is still great for one person using it to game on, exactly my purpose for buying it. So that doesnt detract any stars from my rating seeing as this is marketed to gamers and gamers like to sit close to their monitors and dead center for the best possible experience. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and I will likely buy 2 more for a triple monitor setup because the cost on this monitor is very nice compared to other similar monitors.

For the price..... I'm satisfied
This is a great upgrade from my ancient HP 2159m monitor. I have much less input lag for gaming now and the picture quality, although may not be the best at color reproduction, is perfectly fine for gaming and even videos. However.... I do see ghosting even with the anti-trace enabled in some games. The monitor says it has a 1ms gtg response time so I kind of expected a bit better on the ghosting. I cannot use the Freesync feature with my GTX 1060 because this monitor does NOT have a displayport input. Currently the only way to use this feature with Nvidia cards is to use it with displayport as this monitor is not on the official list of working monitors for Nvidia for cross compatibility for the Freesync feature. Pros: - Although I see a bit of ghosting, the monitor is very responsive and is great for gaming. - Looks great while watching video. - Nice sturdy heavy base (much heavier than I expected it to be at least) - Has built in speakers for people in need of a quick solution Cons: - Colors arent the best, some colors get washed out in certain situations - Can only use Freesync with Nvidia cards using displayport and this monitor does not have that Overview: - There are more good things about this monitor than bad, and 1 of the bad things about it is my own user error for not knowing about the displayport thing for Nvidia as I was looking forward to using the feature. For the price this is a great monitor and you cannot really go wrong with it if your on a budget.

Fantastic Gaming Monitor!!!
I play mostly FPS (Halo/COD) on XBOX one. This monitor is awesome! I was previously gaming on a 22' Samsung monitor with 5ms response time. It's tough to tell between 5 and 1ms really, but the 1ms response time just "feels" crisp and responsive. Games look great on the monitor and 24' inches is a great size and noticeably bigger than my 22'. I think 24' for me personally as a competitive FPS player, is right on the cusp of how large I would want the screen. Picture is crisp, colorful and VERY clear. The buttons on the back right side of the monitor are subtle and there is even a very small button (almost like a thumb stick on an Xbox one controller) on the back to help you easily navigate through the menus which is very convenient. There is built in sound which doesn't sound bad if you don't have headphones. I keep the external monitor sound muted because I game with headphones which is extremely easy to toggle on and off. One other thing I really like about this monitor is the height adjust ability. It's really smooth and you can literally drop the monitor to the base of the monitor or raise it quite high. This is great for people gaming with this on a desk and who want to make their chair level with their monitor. Assembly was really easy, the box came in great shape and everything was packed very well and secure. One thing to mention is that my box came just as you would buy it in the store. I ordered with amazon prime and UPS left it at my door which is totally fine with me. I live in a pretty secure apartment, but if you live somewhere not so safe, make sure you are there or have somebody there to receive the package (or make some kind of special request) as it would be VERY easy to tell this is a nice gaming monitor and somebody could easily pick it up and walk off.

Great 'budget' monitor.
I had already spent around $1500 on building a gaming PC, so I was looking for a relatively cheap but decent monitor to not go too far. This is quite adequate for gaming if you either can not: afford an expensive monitor, don't care about graphics or have a lower end graphics card. It is also more than enough for standard internet browsing or work related activity. It only outputs up to 1080p, but it still looks good and uses freesync which works with gsync if you have a Nvidia graphics card (which I do). It has two hdmi slots, but no display port. This was a problem as my card had two display ports and one HDMI, so I had to get a DP -> HDMI cable. It does degrade the quality a bit, but I use this on my second monitor so it's not an issue. The picture quality looks good for what you would expect out of 1080p and it has a fair amount of settings that you can mess with. I did research what works well and found the 'Racing' to be a good pick. It also has a small thumb stick on the back to switch through settings and has an option to switch inputs, which is good to change it to my work laptop. This goes up to 75hz and I get between 60-100 fps depending on game; for reference, I play a lot of WoW and Overwatch and they look great. I ended up buying two of these for my dual setup and they work fine until I can upgrade in the feature. If you are looking for a good entry level gaming monitor or just need something for casual use, this is a great deal.

8 years and heavy use is nothing for this great unit!
I bought this on my birthday in 2017. While it may not be in front line service right now, it’s an awesome monitor that hasn’t skipped a beat in 8 years! I’ve packed it to several places and it doesn’t have a single dead pixel. Original power supply, mounted on an articulating arm, exposed briefly to weather when I left my window open, this is a workhorse that is well worth the investment!
