Mounted the reel in the garage, setup was smooth, and cord is smooth out/in. This is a thicker gauge cord and at full length it is heavier to maneuver than a cheaper cord, but the weight is a good trade off for a higher amperage. Overall we are pleased with the brand and item and would purchase again.

I've had this for a few months. I run my Harbor Freight 125 amp flux welder and grinder off it. I can confirm the little embedded breaker works as expected. Easy to reset. The lighted plug is large and easy to use. Only down side is that the spring feels weak and mushy. Getting the reel to take back in the cord feels like a challenge and I find myself helping it along more than I should. I wonder if the spring can be tightened or adjusted.

Seems pretty well built. The 12 gauge cord FILLS the housing and needs to be steered during retraction to load evenly in order not to bind when nearing full retract. It may be the 14 gauge is easier? Switch/circuit breaker reset on the side of the housing does control power out to the receptacles, and the receptacles have a power indicator, however the power switch/circuit breaker reset does not have an indicator (maybe it lights up when it’s tripped?)

No more dragging out extension cords and having to wrap them up to do simple tasks—just pull this out and tug to let it retract. This is the perfect gift for anyone with a garage because the cords on power tools are never the right length.

I love this reel. It’s easy to install. The build quality is great. If you want to spend money on something sturdy and easy to use select this reel.

Ordered 5 of these in 2021. Installed a few months later to the ceiling. None of them retract the last 10-15 feet of cord. they are high up in an industrial ceiling and used when needing to do things like charge a car in remote areas. not overused. they did not retract since day 1 but at least got it above our heads. now they have gotten worse and worse and sometimes go all the way to the ground or have to mess with them for a few minutes to get them to roll all the way up.
