Its double polarity lights. Standard dim running lights and it gets brighter when brakes applied or stopped. Overall a great and solid product. Satisfied 👍

Correction: Good brightness and quality. Earlier review was negative because i thought the bulb was weak, but found out the car light cover was stained from the inside.

Excellent product and service very satisfied

They have a similar brightness level to standard halogen bulbs while looking more modern, and should hopefully last much longer. One minor issue though is that they didn't work at first, until I used a screwdriver to bend the metal contacts in the bulb holder to make a better connection. They've worked flawlessly since. My car doesn't have CANBUS detection so I don't have to worry about that, but looking at other reviews it seems they would trigger errors if it did.
