Perfect modern headlamp upgrade for 1981 Honda GL500I Silverwing!
I purchased this headlamp as an upgrade for my 1981 Honda GL500I (Interstate / Silverwing) motorcycle. First impressions - it is a phenomenally excellent upgrade when compared to the OEM reflector and standard halogen bulbs. It was hard to know whether this would fit, but it does. It is a perfect drop-in replacement for the old glass reflector housing. You may need to re-aim vertically to get it pointed just right. Benefits: - Wide spread, illuminates left and right of road (ditches, etc) - Much longer beam of light - Brighter - Low beam is much better than halogen, actually usable - High beam is amazing, so much better aimed, straight down the road, not up into the trees. - Perfect fit for existing headlight clamps and aiming mechanism on my fully faired Honda GL500I. Works like it came with the bike. - Made in USA, tangibly better quality than cheap units, feels substantial. - 3 year warranty - hope not to need it but nice to know, right? Negatives: - None that I saw. Highly recommended! Probably works on any CX500, CX650, GL650, etc.

Love it on my Streetglide
I did SO much research before purchasing a light for my 2008 FLHX. I wasn't a fan of the look of the JW Speaker lights and loved the smoked look of the Truck-Lite. I am not disappointed. At this price point this has to be the best 7" light on the market. It has a wide beam pattern so I see more of the road and the high beam goes WAY out. Its attractive, its bright, and it was a breeze to install. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Quality Light with Poor Pattern
Seller experience was great, light appears to be good quality. The Adjure mounting ring required for installation on my motorcycle failed after about a year and I ended up going back to the factory headlight housing with a Cyclops LED bulb. This light is bright with a good color, but as you can easily see in the Jeep Wrangler pictures from another reviewer, the pattern has large dark spots and is very patchy. It might be better with 2 of them in a vehicle, but for a motorcycle, a quality LED replacement (with a designer that understands emitter placement to properly function in an incandescent reflector) will be significantly better than this bulb. The Cyclops bulbs are about a third the price, too.

Big improvement over sealed beams, high value
I used these Trucklite LEDs to replace standard 7" sealed beams in an old car. These are way better than the sealed beam lights, at a reasonable price for quality LEDs. They are made in USA, and this Trucklite model has been around and well proven for many years. On low beam, these have a decent upper cutoff to prevent blinding oncoming drivers, and high beam has a good vertical and horizontal spread. For a bit over $320 for the pair, I would not bother with any crappy imitations or cheaper lights. In LEDs, you generally get what you pay for, and the cheaper copies have lousy beam patterns, even though some advertise more lumens (they are not brighter). Trust me, the beam pattern is way more important than the total light output. To do better than this, you have to spend several hundred bucks more. One fitment note: The front edge of the lens protrudes about 1/2" further forward than the sealed beams I replaced. In most applications you won't notice it, but check your current headlight bezels and decide if you won't mind the lights sticking out a little further.

Fit my 2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic
I purchased this after seeing a review of the Kuryakyn on Amazon and someone pointing out that it was just this light with Kuryakyn sticker over the Truck-Lite logo. The installation wasn't too bad - since the Factory Headlight was H4, I had to pull the whole assembly, including completely removing the Aiming Screws so, after installing this you have to do a lot of adjusting to get it aimed correctly. Wow! This is a great light. Nice bright "Hot Spot". I do wish there was a bit more light cast to sides of the hot spot but, I'm thinking about adding the Kuryakyn "Constellation Driving Light Bar" though, which would solve that issue. The lens of the bulb does stick out past the chrome ring of the housing, maybe 3/8 to 1/2 an inch but, it's not too distressing to me. All in all, I think this is a great light and the second best upgrade I've done to my ride (after heated hand grips). Save your $$ from Kuryakyn - buy this instead!

JUNK
This is the best head light NOT!! Installed it on my Road King. Low beam went out only after six months, a warranty lite was sent to me and the high beam didn't even work, sent another warranty lite to me as of now it is working. after reading and talking with others this seams to be a common problem with the Truck Lights. When this one goes out I will replace it with JW Speaker 8700 Evolution.

I am very pleased! Clean
This lamp really lights the road up! I am very pleased! Clean, white light, not yellowish, like typical H-4 bulbs and reflectors. I installed this on a 2004 road king FLHR and we compared this light with my buddies 2002 RK at night and this is a much better lamp. This will also take some load off of the charging system while taking a little heat off the engine. I'm converting everything on the bike to LEDs tail lamp, brake lamp, turn signals, fender tip lamps, so far pretty well pleased except not so sure on the rear turn brake lamps (with the HD module to use turns as brakes) I would like them to be brighter when hitting the brakes. I used Hot System 13-SMD White 1156 for this. But they were really not made for this application. As others have said, this lamp does protrude out of the trim ring. You can buy another trim ring to cover it. This is one safety item I am glad I bought. Well worth the $$, looks good and works good. Could save your life one night.
