A must have for dual sided 3M tape!
If you're going to install a car part that uses 3M double-sided tape, you need this! This adhesion promotor will ensure the 3M tape really sticks to the installation surface. Works on car paint, even on glass. I use it for installing spoiler, scoops, splitters, or window louvers. Highly recommend!

Work as intended
This product works great with most adhesives. I used it to attach Velcro tape to my pickup truck bed liner. Installed about two months ago and it’s still holding strong. Excellent quality and excellent product from 3M.

Good for TV lights that won't stick to the back of the tv
My use case was - I have some of those string lights, and bar (stick) lights that attach to the back of the TV and then I have a device where the lights change colors depending on what's on the TV. Ok, it's the Philips Hue lightstrip and a couple Play Bars. The strip and bars both come with mounting brackets or tape. The brackets allow the strip to go around the back of the TV (left and right sides and top), and the Bars have tape to mount as well. Thing is, the tape that you get from Philips doesn't hold very well, and the lights kept falling off the TV. The light strip is kinda heavy duty and doesn't bend well, and the bars I guess are a little too heavy. I even reached out to Philips and they sent replacement brackets that also didn't work. I also tried double sided Gorilla Tape. No dice, after a few weeks or months, a corner bracket, one of the side brackets, and one of the play bars would come loose again. It doesn't help that the back of the TV is very slightly 'rippled', meaning not sheer flat plastic. Someone online suggested these and honestly, they worked a treat. Clean the surface first, apply a bit of the adhesive, and stick your thing. So far, of the the places I applied it, nothing has come off yet. (One lightbar corner, one side edge, and one play bar. Using the applicator, a little sponge, is very easy, but there is a little quirk to it. You don't remove the sponge from the packet, you tear off the top part of the packet and hold it with the bottom part. You could use gloves also. While this way is fine, it also makes me feel like I'm wasting some of it because I never pull the applicator completely out of the packet. But the area I'm applying to is small and there was plenty in one packet for a couple areas. Plus, you can buy a small quantity of packets so it's easy to get an amount that you need to have enough, and also not to have a box laying around for years and years to come. Anyway- for my usage or anything similar- fully recommend. And actually, can't really thing of any other options that would work and not look awful. No word yet on what happens when I try to remove these brackets from the tv.....

It fixed the issue of my phone mount peeling off in the summer
Ok I don’t review every purchase, but I felt I needed to review this. I have an adhesive mounted magnetic phone holder in my car that I really love, but it tends to come loose during the hot summer months. I was very frustrated because no matter how well I cleaned the spot and how hard I pressed the mount on, it kept coming off. I did a google search to find solutions and this product popped up. The mount stayed rock solid in place through the end of the summer and into the cold winter months. I’m very pleased that I’ve found a solution to the adhesive coming off. This product works exactly as stated, the only negative is there are no instructions the packaging how to apply.

Worked very well
Used these in my camera bag for a trip to Alaska and Africa. Worked very well for keeping the moisture out of my camera and lenses. If I had a complaint, the only thing I would say is 50 bags is way too much.

Adhesion promoter for the win!
Works like a charm to prep surfaces for tape. Used for automotive molding. Applied 3M double-sided tape to door moldings, adhesion promoter prior to installing. Once I applied the moldings, they are solid as concrete. No worries about them coming loose.

Product works great. Basically, if you treat a surface with it and use double sided tape to adhere a product to that surface, it will never come unglued. This stuff is great. Also, Amazon got this to me in 24 hrs. Amazon rocks! Retail continues to fade away with this type of service. Well done again.

I bought a new truck that had a factory spray in bedliner. I put a Leer on it and bought the Ford bed carpet kit. The velcro pads would not stick to the bed liner until I used the promoter. It worked good but the 5 pads do not go very far and are very expensive for what you get. If I did it again I would probably look at a bottle of promoter but its even much worse for price but would probably go a lot further.

I've used this primarily to adhere a trunk lip spoiler and foam strip lip spoiler for my car via double-sided foam tape. Naturally these items will need to be able to tolerate the force from air resistance. Using this basically activates the tackiness of your adhesive substance, as if it is partly breaking down the molecular structure of the adhesive medium. The catch is that because your double-sided adhesive foam strip is partly melting in structural integrity, I highly advise you line up the item you're planning to stick on correctly in one attempt. If the foam grabs onto another surface, it will cling, and if you need to readjust what you're sticking on, you will stretch the foam tape out of shape and make your job much harder. The adhesion is still active, but the stretched foam tape makes it nearly impossible to stick back onto your surface. Get it right once, and it will last.

Great stuff, pricey, but it works

If you want to stick something to your car interior spot that seems to be impossible to stick things to with double sided tape, this does the trick in a big way. If this is what you're trying to do (especially for speaker covers!) get the top of the line double sided Gorilla tape, clean the main surface with isopropyl 99%, then heat the double sided tape (heat gun) that's already on your item to be stock in your car, and make sure this primer has been on your car interior surface for about a minute and stick the project on and hold it for 2 minutes. You're set.
